Like some of the current crop of cameras, the Heimvision HM202 offers 1080p HD streaming, sound and video motion notification, but unlike the other contenders for this market, HM202 offers cloud service as well as local storage backup.HM202 can be set up with an iOS or Android app by scanning the QR code or by connecting AP hotspot. It was quick and simple to set up an account as a new user after I downloaded the app to my mobile. This IP camera supports the 2.4Ghz band only. As my router is both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, I went to my router setting page and set the 2.4Ghz a different name from 5Ghz. Then connect the 2.4Ghz with my phone and adding the camera to the App. This camera supports two-way audio, so if you’re in another room or miles away, you can kick the dog off the sofa. Alerts arrive by e-mail or phone. There’s a scheduler that allows you full control of arming/disarming the triggered detection recordings and alerts, or you can leave armed/disarmed. Usage will depend on camera location and the kind of traffic you expect and when you expect it. You can also shedule when to send alerts and when not to.The video quality is superb. There was hardly any lag on the 2.4GHz connection using live view. With PTZ (pan and tilt) the field of view is very very wide and gives more than enough coverage if you mount the camera to your ceiling. You can share the camera view to your friend or families. Friends can view live streams from your cameras, control the PTZ, take snapshots and talk to people who is near the camera. You can set the device off at a schedule time period or end the camera sharing from your end.A nice long power cord and USB adapter are included. There’s also a wall mount and mounting screws, etc. included in the box, so there’s lots of flexibility.Cons: If your phone has been connected to a 5Ghz WiFi, you have to disconnect that and re-connect to a 2.4Ghz WiFi. The camera doesn't work with 5Ghz.
