Well, I liked this book/story, I'm just not sure if I liked it enough to continue with the series. I found a few things that bugged me about the book.
I think my main problem with the book is the character of Monty. I just can't understand much of anything Monty is saying. I understand that they're in Ireland, and people have accents, but this is a bit much. I have to stop and reread everything he says, and I still can't get it and end up skimming over it and trying to figure out what he says from how the other characters respond. It just made me frustrated when he came into the story because of the extra work I'd have trying to figure out what the heck he was saying.
Better editing is needed as well. Many sentences were missing key words. And one blunder of using your instead of you're. That had me shaking my head.
Another problem I had was the fact that a few times that Corvin seems to be up for 24 hours or more. In one part, he gets back from a "date", then goes out to see a friend in the middle of the night, like it's completely normal to do so, then stays up all night, then is out most of the next day, then wanders out at night when he feels restless. Um, do you need to sleep anytime, or what? It just seemed far-fetched that he was awake and doing things for so long.
Honestly, the story was good, it was fast paced, and I enjoyed reading it. I'm just not sure if I'm interested enough in the characters to continue on with the series.
