Only redeeming value is the weak noise cancellation
May 13, 2019
I am comparing these headphones with the $28 Senso headphones sold here.
The Senso didn't have any noise cancellation which made it impossible on a bicycle. These have somewhat weak noise cancelling but it is good enough to be useful on a bike. It is the only time I use these because the $28 headphones are superior in every other way. I did try it once using my quiet reel mower but it did not block out that small amount of sound in the slightest.
Sound quality is fair, inferior to the senso.
Quite often, they will lose the signal with my cell phone even if it is two feet away. If I turn my head one of them will drop out.
The controls suck. If you need to adjust it in your ear you will make it pause the music. Sometimes you have to have your fingers on it 10 seconds or more before it will turn on.
Maybe it is just because my right ear-hole is larger than the other, I am not sure but it can and will easily fall out which is annoying to have to stop and search for a few minutes to find it. It is not an issue with the left ear bud.
The other advantage over the $28 dollar earbuds is that it lacks a tether between the buds, which can get stuck on my neck and force one earbud out but of course with a tether I won't ever lose it.
If it were half the price I might give it 4 stars but even then there are better sounding ear buds at that price point.
