Poor product, with NO PRODUCT SUPPORT, unless you pay $60 per question...

I have an MBA from Yale and have been performing the accounting for my corporation for 10+ years using QB online. Unfortunately, QB only allows the online version for one single venture. So I needed to purchase the desktop version, or pay monthly to Intuit. I opted to purchase the Desktop version for my Mac and could not be more disappointed.
1. The product is not returnable, since once you download it, they can't take it back.
2. The Desktop version is quite cumbersome and complicated, even with my years of experience performing the accounting (and payroll) using QB online. I could not perform the most basic tasks of reconciling the transactions with the bank register. I couldn't pay bills, enter transactions, really I couldn't do anything useful.
3. I called for some basic help getting started and was told there is NO SUPPORT ON HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT without paying (a) $60 for one question, (b) $30 per month, or (c) $90 for 3 months. The only support available without paying is help with downloading and passwords.
The venture that I am now taking over the accounting for has been in operation for many years. It is clear the prior person performing the accounting was also unable to properly use the product. The statements aren't reconciled and while many of the transactions are entered, it is nowhere near complete.
I am stuck with this legacy QB accounting and now need to pay extra for support, so budget that into the purchase price.
Obtaining support was quite difficult each of the three times I tried calling. The average wait time was over 60 minutes, and it took three times to get to an actual person. Support hours are limited to M-F 6-6, which isn't terrible, but not great either.
In addition to paying for support, if you want to connect with your bank there is likely an extra monthly fee. Bank of America charges a minimum of an additional $15 per month (as of October 2018) to download transactions to QB.
I know there are other accounting packages available for small businesses, and I can't imagine QB is not near the bottom. It is expensive to start with, cumbersome to use, expensive to maintain, and offers no free support (even when purchased new). In my 30 years of buying software, I have never seen a worse product.
