Expected a Lot More
November 26, 2018
Based on the other reviewers' critiques, I anticipated a life-changing event. What a letdown. A cordless vac is nice, it is helpful on stairs, getting in cramped spots, and vacuuming on top of windows, art, etc; however, I still dislike the entire vacuuming process. Heck, dislike is too mild a word. Hate.
Since I can only compare the Tineco A11 to a traditional hose/cord unit, I will limit my review's comments to the comparison between those two models: Obviously, the Tineco lacks the dread power cord, a plus. Instead, you must charge the lithium battery units 3 - 4 hours to get enough juice to clean the house. And you cannot leave the batteries plugged in, charging away indefinitely. Downer. Both types of units have lots of attachments that clean hardwood, carpet, upholstery, etc. Even. They both have bagless dirt receptacles. Even. Tineco has a max power button; my corded unit is max all the time. Even. I'm really trying to froth with excitement about the cordless vacuum experience, but in all honesty, I can't. If you have to vacuum (and we have to unless sweeping, dusting, and mopping is your thrill), save yourself $400 and keep your old unit until it dies. Then borrow someone's cordless before deciding.
