This is the second of Steven's books that I have read. There is so much valuable information in these pages. This book is written in such a way that it speaks directly to the reader. When I read it, I felt like it was written for me. Many of the things in the book I had also learned before, but I had forgotten I knew, so the book was a great reminder. There was a lot of new information in the book too - on the psychology of the brain and new ways of looking at life that are very helpful. Hopefully I won't forget them anytime soon! If I do, all I'll need to do is read this book again!
This book was able to clearly and simply distill the complexities of the mind and all of the factors that require our awareness. Very helpful advice in an easy to understand format. The author is very knowledgeable and the book contains lots of practical steps for changing mental habits. I liked the books accounts of experimental psychology, that studies have been done into assumptions made about human behaviors. I liked reading about the brain activity research. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
This book reminds me that we are either our greatest champion or worst enemy by how we think about our every day lives. This book has a lot of easy to implement steps to empower your mind. I highly recommend adding this book to your collection.
I enjoyed how the author addressed how cluttered the mind can get with unnecessary thoughts. The strategies presented in the book will be very helpful in keeping the mind focused when working on a major task.
