The Case Against Impeaching Trump
Format: Kindle Edition|Change

on July 19, 2018
Again, Professor Dershowitz is clear and concise in his wisdom. The opening section/chapter -- 'the case' in his words-- is the heart of the book and delves deeply into the entire question of criminalizing political behavior, and the wisdom of using, or avoiding, a Special Counsel conducting a criminal inquiry where, as he suggests, a Congressional Inquiry (via statute of Congress) would do for fact finding on a non-partisan basis. Once completed, from any such findings, a criminal proceeding (via a Special Counsel or just standard DOJ procedures via US Attorneys) can be considered. But, the initial effort in D's opinion is to just get the facts straight.........As Joe Friday used to say...."Just the facts, Ma'am". The extras after this section are wonderful.......reprints of his numerous writings/columns, transcripts of his TV/Cable appearances, and such.
Other than an occasional passage where he gets waist deep in legalisms, the book is a very comfortable read for the average citizen.

Professor Dershowitz is NOT a conservative, he’s a lifelong liberal constitutional scholar. Here he lays out an historic case of the process of impeachment. Typical anti-Trump rhetoric is empty, Prof. Dershowitz, Harvard law professor walks you historically through why the typical liberal rhetoric is more what we escaped from in England and the Founding Fathers wanted to make it very difficult to remove a president...for a reason.

If you want a rational, legally-sound, well documented scholarly this. Don’t tell me what you think until you read what Prof. Dershowitz knows.

Dershowitz lays out scenarios one might want to impeach Trump and why those reasons are unconstitutional. It is interesting that the negative reviews don’t make a legitimemt case for impeachment but instead use this platform to tarnish a Democrat brother with a stellar history of supporting liberal causes.

Concise, impartial, unbiased... I believe this should be added to leadership schools as it is eye opening.

Alan Dershowitz is an encyclopedic mind, his clear and perfect analysis of the impeachment process and how it is not appropriate in the case of Donald Trump is fascinating to watch. What is more he is able to explain it all in an easy to understand methodology for those of us who are not constitutional lawyers. He is a great mind and this is a great read!

After reading reviews was not sure if I should buy it by the reviews. Happy I did. Negative reviews written by those who are still having a hard time coming to terms with a corrupt Hillary Clinton loss, despite attempts to steal an election from Trump like the DNC did to Mr. Sanders. Alan Dershowitz has been in this inner circle for decades and I believe he has unmasked the monster.

What a ridiculous man, this Dershowitz. Perpetually, on the wrong side of history. Now, he's whining about being shunned in Martha's Vineyard due to his defense of The Orange Menace in the White House - buffoon.

This book is not an in-depth analysis of the history, process, or meaning of impeachment. It is rather a pastiche of prior
writings and TV appearances by Mr. Dershowtiz, most of which are now outdated. The only" original" material is contained in less than 50 pages, consisting mainly of assertions that Mr. Dershowitz had previously issued, rather than real analysis and original historical research.
