I don’t want to spoil the book because it is so wonderful, you need to read and experience it for yourself. The author makes you feel you are actually there – experiencing Ireland and becoming a part of her wonderful characters. This is the final book in the series; you can read only this book but it would be so much more enjoyable to read all three books. First is LETTERS OF FREEDOM where Carmel is offered an opportunity to leave her miserable life of torment. The second book is even better; THE FUTURE’S NOT OURS TO SEE. And the last book WHAT WILL BE WILL BE is the best in the series. If you have not read any books by Jean Grainger before, you will become engrossed and will have to read, devour, and enjoy ALL her books. I own and have read EVERY book she has written.

Another one of Ms Grainger's books that I didn't want to end. Shariff and Carmel made a wonderful couple. But no family is perfect and the entry of the his moms sister into this story proves that. I wanted to tell her off the first time she came to visit Carmel. That tell you how real Ms Grainger makes the characters in her books feel. Just as if they were real. I have read all od Ms Grainger 's books and enjoyed every one. Some more than others as happens when you find a good author. I could and will read this series again. The first part was a short story that was free from Ms.Grainger 's website. It was such a good read I couldn't wait for the next book. For me the characters in the book came to life and I thought I knew them. That's a gift a good author has. I don't think you will be disappointed with this series.

Another touching drama by Jean Grainger, set in her homeland of Ireland, but also intertwining the lives of family members and friends from around the world in a very believable setting. The characters are authentic, well defined and varied. Family conflicts lovingly and realistically described.as she shows a way of peaceful resolution through the mystery and power of love. In addition her location descriptions are really good, making the reader often wish to see teh places in person.. Cleanly written with surprising plot twists along the way. Guaranteed to pull at your heart steings while pointing the way forward with hope.

Jean Grainger never disappoints. All of her books are well-written and edited. You will not find errors in her books. I have been following Carmel's story since Letters of Freedom. If the reader is not familiar with the Irish names, I would suggest having something at hand to help with pronunciation. I recommend all of Jean’s books. You will not be disappointed!

Jean Grainger is a gifted story teller who draws me into each story. I am never ready to reach the end, While this is the third and last book in this series, it still works as a stand alone. My enjoyment was enhanced by having read the first two books. The characters are so very real and personable. Each story is an well crafted, enjoyable adventure. I highly recommend everything Jean Grainger has written.

Oscar Wilde once said, "Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary." Carmen must have read Wilde. She suffered through years of neglect and being treated with disdain, but finally overcomes through the love of a wonderful man who sees her value and that she is anything but ordinary! The twists and turns of her life ring so true to life that you really will find situations with which you identify. This series is exceptional. Sure, you will enjoy this book even if you haven't read the first two, but hey, don't cheat yourself. Buy them all and thoroughly enjoy!

Jean Grainger brings this series to a delightful close, as her characters work their way through their individual life-changing circumstances. She makes them seem so real that the reader gets swept along with the story, and then we hate for it to end. Jean is perhaps my favorite author, beginning with her novel "The Tour". Just read one of her books, and you will be hooked!

Truly a wonderful final episode of this top notch series. Such a gift to us readers who enjoy wholesome, insightful, well written narratives. Everything this author has given the literary world has been enriching, keenly well put, and a joy to read. Will follow her with great anticipation and appreciation.

I love Jean Grainger's stories. All are great and I learn more and more about Ireland today and in the past. Would have given a 5 rating, except that this story seems too daytime soap opera to me. I never had that feeling with the historical novels. Human characters with human flaws make the story good.

This was a beautiful story filled with much emotion. I have to admit, I did shed a tear or two. This author always seems to be very good at creating stories that are hard to put down. Can't wait for her next book.
