We got this a few months ago and are very pleased. My husband is a musician and lover of music, so he wasn't too excited about the likely lack of full-sounding bass. But I don't need to FEEL my music like he does - I just need to hear it. Having said that, he was pleasantly surprised at how it sounded. He said it doesn't match his speakers with 12" subwoofers, but at least he's listening to music now through the Echo.

Prior to this, he would only listen to real mellow, relaxing, or classical music because, as he put it, "I can't really enjoy rocking out when there's no bass." I once played Rush for him (he's a drummer) and he said, "Alexa, stop!" and turned to me, "Please don't play Rush through a 3-inch speaker. There's so much happening in the music that you can't hear, itt's painful to listen to!" So, yes, he's a spoiled baby. With bad hearing (he says he has "rock 'n roll ears").

Since we got this MOKCAO cordless speaker, he's been listening to a LOT of music. Frankly, it's much nicer for me because I don't need my windows shaking to enjoy music, but I DO like music and I actually do like HIS music, so I've really enjoyed having music played throughout the house as often as he's been doing (and not through his giant speakers - but he did say he will soon bluetooth a connection to his stereo, but he'll do it when I'm not around, he promised).

Yesterday evening we put it to a test. We first did work in our yard and then hung out near our fire-pit and roasted s'mores. We placed "Alexa" on our porch so we could listen as we worked. We put her outside - not connected to power but running purely off battery, volume set at 10, at 5:20 pm. As it got dark we moved to our fire-pit which is literally about 40-50 yards away. We listened to a Pandora classic rock station all night long. At 10:47 pm, it shut off. 5 1/2 hours at full volume playing rock. That's impressive!

In the house, while I cook or clean or do whatever, volume 10 is too loud. I set it at 7 and I can hear it both upstairs and in the basement. Before MOKCAO, we didn't have music playing as much as we do now. I'm really enjoying it - especially exploring all the Amazon Playlists I found online.

My only complaint so far, and it's not really a complaint (my husband says it's a good thing) is that the USB connections are really tight. They are EXACT and sometimes it's difficult to plug or unplug the charger. But that's it.

I LOVE being able to just pick it up and carry it wherever I go around the house - especially if I'm listening to my comedy station ('80's comedy on Pandora is the best!) or listening to a story ("Alexa, tell me a story" - try it, they are really good) where I need to be able to hear conversation that does not travel very well through floors and walls. I highly recommend this, especially since my nit-picky musician husband ALSO likes it.

The speaker is quite a bit more than I expected. It is NOT a Boise speaker and I didn't expect it to be. I waited awhile so I could give an honest review. BUT, I use it outdoors - when we have a party, relaxing by the pool or just relaxing outside reading a book. It is under cover so it never gets wet and the sound quality is pretty good. I have multiple Alexa's throughout the house and use the EVERWHERE group. So when we go inside for something we still hear the music playing. Using the ANNOUNCE feature for Alexa is like having an intercom system for the house. I cannot give an honest answer to how long the battery lasts but I can say it was used for 5 - 6 hours and it worked fine. The only suggestion I would make it the company should have a gauge/lights on the unit to tell how much battery life is left.

I liked this so much I had to buy a second one for the other echo-dot. Sounds great and I can take my music out to the garage or outside while I work.

Have three of them. While not great sound it is a huge improvement over the echo dot. Also like that it makes the dot portable.

Works as expected. Like the portability option of moving Echo dot around the house without having to plug it in to wall sockets.
