This thing is awesome. I wanted a small one like this. I use it on a propane grill. It's big enough to hold plenty of wood chips, but small enough that I can sit it right on the burners without it interfering with the heat distributors or the grates. Just soak your wood chips in warm water for about ten minutes, put in the box and sit down on burners. Start the grill and wait for it to start smoking well, which takes about 5 minutes or so for me. If you want to really get strong smoky flavor, I keep the burners on low and cook on top rack. Works great.
