2.0 out of 5 starsNot the brand for people with sensitivity to adhesives
December 17, 2018
I bought this because of reviews & price. May be fine for others, but I had a very bad allergic reaction — probably to the adhesive. I’d used another, more expensive & well-known brand without having any problem.
These are thinner and flimsier than most acne patches that I have tried. In particular, I have a difficult time keeping them on my face. I've tried to sleep with some of the patches on, and they inevitably fall off in the night, which has never happened with the other brands I've tried. Once I am through with these, I will go back to one of the few brands I've tried previously. I also believe that the thinness of the patches make them less effective in absorbing gunk from pimples and cysts, though it does make the patch far less noticeable on the skin. Overall, I would suggest another brand.
Updated, 11/7: I have updated my review from 2 stars to 4 stars, which reflects my original 2 star review of the product and a 5 star review for the company's customer service. A Liberex representative reached out to me just days after my original review was posted. The company genuinely cared that I did not have a great experience with the patches and offered to either send another box or to refund my money. I declined both offers, as I intend to use up the box but do not want another one. In updating my original review, I want to recognize Liberex's excellent customer service. It demonstrates that you can try these patches without the fear that you will lose money should you be unsatisfied with them.
The nose piece on my glasses rubs the skin on my nose on my right side, badly so I've been covering it with a small bandaid. Then I saw NexCare had these dots that people use for pimples. I haven't got pimples but their dots worked pretty well, they had a 50% chance of coming off during the day though as my glasses slip and slide around my face, and the tiny dots that come with the big dots are pretty useless. These Liberex ones are thinner and seem to stay on far better, come in only the larger size and you get 120 of them (3 month's worth). They are doing the job perfectly.
I am in idiot. I did not take before pictures but if I had you would be amazed, because I am flabbergasted. I have been using these less than 48 hours and my skin is already so much clearer and the acne so much less red. My skin is soothed, & is calming down FAST. It is amazing. I am literally floored. These are on subscription coming to my house every month now. I have spent hundreds of dollars here on Amazon trying to find a product that will help clear up my hormonal/stress adult acne. I am tired of looking like a pizza. After one night, I don’t. Plus, if you are an unconscious picker - These will definitely help, because as soon as you touch your face you feel them and you remember to keep your hands off your face. I will never be without these again.
01/05/19 Update! Oh yes! Can’t believe how fast these work, absolutely get them. I get them delivered 1per month
I suffer from cystic acne. I would get rock hard pimples under the skin that would take weeks to come to a head and then months to heal. As soon as I felt a pimple form I stuck one of these pimple patches on. I woke up the next morning, replaced the old patch with a new one and by the end of the day my pimple was almost gone. I put on one more patch the next night and by morning I had no pimple!
I decided to try these on blemish spots and after a few days of wearing the patch my blemish spots faded dramatically. Absolutely in love with these!
They were for my wife and she absolutely loves them does what it says plus the price per is cost effective!it's actually refreshing to see a product that lives up to what's advertised.call me jaded but lately there has been a lot of products on Amazon that tell you one thing and it isn't .this is a gem worthy find...
I have tried a few different hydrocolloid acne patch manufacturers, and so far this is my favorite one for value, size, and quality.
I have issues with cystic acne on and off and the regular battles with whiteheads. These patches have large coverage (good for those larger lumps) and suck out quite a lot of pus (if applied to a ruptured pimple). For cystic acne, these are not nearly as effective as they are for regular pimples; but I have found that it helps bring those larger lumps to a head faster where then you can clear the pus and use these patches again to accelerate the healing prices.
These are not the thinnest patches I have used, but I like the thickness because these patches tend to suck out more pus and are much easier to take off the plastic backing than some other brands I tried. It was really nice to return to these after my frustrations with trying to apply Rael’s patches.
I do recommend trying out different brands because you might prefer a certain size and thickness for your acne patches, but Liberex is not a bad choice.
This is the best BP that I've used. It cleared my skin more quickly than any other BP and my skin's reaction was less severe. Burning, redness, and tightness is expected when using BP products. I'm unsure as to why that is a criticism from some reviewers. You have to give the product time and learn to use less, moisturize more, and use complementary products. I've used this BP for nearly 1 and 1/2 months and my skin is emerging from the initial burning/tightness/dry phase and starting to look amazing. Keep at it.
If you're an Acne.org BP user then I suggest giving this product a try. I find it more effective and it's tremendously more affordable. For further insight, I've used BP on/off for three years and I've tried Acne.org, Paula's Choice, CVS brand, Target brand, and more.
