I used to have the car phone holder that was magnetized but you had to super glue it to your car and I didn’t want to do that with my new car . I got this instead and I love it ! Gives me easy access to my phone , has a spot so you can still plug it into your charger and it do doesn’t weigh down on my air vent at all and was easy to install. Love this !!

Great product! It’s easy to install and holds the phone securely, spring loaded clip attaches easily to the air vent, especially like the release button to remove the phone. I have an iPhone 6, but it can fit bigger or smaller phones as well. You can also rotate the car mount to vertical or landscape mode easily depending on your preference. Highly recommended!

I've been skeptical about buying a car mount because I did not want to purchase one that had to stick to the glass or my dashboard. I'm very pleasantly surprised with this model. It fits easily in the vents of my car and has been very functional. My favorite feature is the quick release button in the back. If I need to pick up my device for any reason I just push that button and it releases my phone quick and easy. I also have a fairly large case on my phone because I like to keep credit cards in my case and have had no issues with this model holding the size and weight of my phone. This past weekend I used my phone mainly for directions and being able to have it mounted was so much easier than trying to navigate without one. I would recommend this product.

This little holder feels like something Lexus might sell as an accessory. It easily clips onto one of your air vent louvers, and holds well. You place your phone into the holder, squeeze the two side supports in, and the phone is snugly held in place by the foam pieces attached to the sides and bottom. When it's time to remove the phone, there's a little button on the rear of the holder that slowly releases the side arms. Yes, that's right: the side supports are evidently hydraulically damped. That's very cool. I'm quite happy with this item.

The one thing to keep in mind, that applies to all vent-mounted holders, is that some louvers flop back and forth quite easily, especially when there's the weight of a phone attached to one of the louvers a few inches out. My car's louvers do that, and I've had to stuff something in between the louvers to keep them from flopping. But that's the car, nothing to do with this holder.

I had been looking for a mount for my Samsung Galaxy S9+ that would fit in the weird vents in my car. The vents are vertical and there are only 3 slats. I previously had the magnetic type mount and I couldn't get the grip to slide in very far, so that wasn't going to work. I've tried mounts like this before, but the grip is usually smooth and will fall off over time. This one had some "teeth" on it, so it really seems to hold! I wanted to have my phone mounted for navigation on a road trip, and this mount did very well! You can tilt and rotate to the angle that works best for you. So far I've had it over 2 months and haven't needed to tighten the grip yet! The only couple of cons I can see are that I wish the bottom stuck out a little further and the 2 tabs sat further apart, could be a little more stylish (looks a little old fashioned), and if they could design some openings on the back so that the air can still circulate, that would be a good idea. But otherwise, works well for its intended purpose!

I bought the phone car mount for our 2014 Jeep. The vent swerved downward when I clipped the phone holder to it, dipping the phone. I had to place some poster tack under the vent to maintain the vent in an upwards position so the phone in holder was in eyesight of me, the driver.

It appears to be a durable, plastic product and is adjustable.

This is one of the best values I've found. Holds my iPhone, and I can take it with me when I travel, to use in rental cars. I do wish it bent upwards a bit more... as it tends to pull the vents down.. but all things considered, it's low cost and works well. I've been using it for a few months, traveled with it, and it's holding up fine. But if/when it breaks, I'd buy another one in a second.

It took me forever to look through car mounts to finally chose one. I am very happy with this one! It is very easy to take phone off and put on with one hand. It is also sturdy to hold my phone over bumps and turns. Works perfectly on vertical vents in my RAV4 (note: do not attach it to the middle grate since it will swivel every time you turn. Put it either on left or right grate where it will stay in place). Only con is that it kind of blocks the air vent- but it’s not game changing.

Love this style of phone holder, and the mechanics of it are truly impressive. Had to give it to my father, though, since the mount couldn't fit on my car's vents (not a problem with the item, just with my car).

4 stars because occasionally, the phone mount doesn't grip the phone as securely as it should. It takes some adjustment before it basically locks it in place. Other than that, dad loves it!

Best phone accessory i have purchased!! I love having somewhere to put my phone and it's right in front of me while I'm in the car, so no digging through my purse. Not to say I'm texting and driving or anything, but if my phone is alerting incessantly, I would feel the need to dig through my purse while driving to make sure there was no emergency. My only complaint is that I can't move my vent up and down, it's in a fixed position once you put the phone mount on there, but that is to be expected.
