This movie was really really enjoyable. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a movie that didn’t rely on dick jokes, marijuana references and slightly homophobic jokes to get a laugh. This movie was just plain funny. It has twists you don’t expect in a comedy film, the plot is engaging, and the characters were great.
I think his is a great movie to watch when you just need a little bit of action with a good laugh.
I laughed out loud. Even on the second viewing. It is hilarious and uses the "f word" way more often than I think a movie should and I love it. The idea that the characters in the movie are so unaware of what's "really" going on works. The next door neighbor is perfect and the dog (it never even barks) steals the show.
This is a hilariously fun movie. we watched it twice within our rental timeframe. I completely recommend it. Is it always plausible? no, there are plot holes and one rather glaring one at the end. But who cares? it was a fun and funny thrill ride all the way through. The premise is brilliant and it delivers very well on the premise. Just watch it, there is no better deadpan delivery on a comedic level than Jason Bateman in this movie.
Great movie, keeps you guessing about plot thru whole movie. Watch it a second time with my wife and 29 yr old son and they both liked it and thought it was a great movie. Funny, keeps you on the edge of your seat sometimes and trying to guess what is going on. Definitely recommend this to anyone over 15 yr old maybe.
Movie night at the Smith household the other night was this little known flick, Game Night. Your typical coming of age Rom-Com/Action date night flick The movie starts out with a competitive game night at the local bar when our favorite straight man Jason Bateman and mean girl turned doting house wife turned best other half of this film Rachel McAdams are meeting for the first time and as you guessed it, fall in love. Game night movie montage, opening credits and you are off and running. I won't get into specifics, but there's some sibling rivalry that shows up at just the right time to give this movie that little extra that really brought it home for me. This movie had many moments that set it apart from other similar troupes of this movie genre that seems to be failing lately. Not this movie thou I'm telling you. There are plenty of hilarious events that make this movie so funny you'll be quoting lines to the person next to you as you both laugh at it again when you say it the second time that it makes you wonder how you missed this sleeper movie hit of the early 2018, IMHO. Check it out. Give it a go. The worst thing is you'll think "damn, that review was wrong. I hated that movie!", and honestly I won't even be mad. Enjoy
