Yes, my Wife and I were entertained for an hour and 33 minutes last evening. Guess we are part of the "easily entertained" group that some reveiwers have made condescending remarks about - so be it.

Having had an Amazon Prime subscription now for 2 years, we have started and stopped many films before they reached the 10 or 15 minute mark but there was no thought of that as we began watching Braven.

We have always like Jason Momoa from the first time we saw in in Stargate: Atalantis. He really seems to try to do his best to give a great performance and Braven was not an exception IMHO.

There are many films we have watched as part of the "included with Prime" selections that I noted in my reviews that I would not recommend paying to watch the film but in this instance I would not have been disappointed had we paid to watch this action, adventure, flaming axe throwing, head butting and more film.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I respect that but I do find it a bit condescending when some reviewers call anyone who enjoys a film that they do ot to be "easily entertained"!

For anyone, 'easily entertained' or not who enjoys watching action, adventure, defending one's family with whatever you have on hand, then definitely take 93 minutes to watch this and hopefully be 'easily entertained'!

If you enjoyed action-schlock of the 80's-90's, this is reminiscent of those types of films but with quality acting, believable characters, and plausible contrivances. Momoa and his family are pretty badass but they're not super heroes and don't spit out quippy one liners after killing bad guys.
My favorite moment is when the mother is defending her little daughter from the bad guys and she just goes insane and stabs the badguy about a thousand times with her only available weapon - tiny pocket knife. It struck me as being a very plausible reaction of a woman defending her child.
Those little details in the performances elevate this from a typical action movie into something very engaging.

Oh, and bad guys get whacked with flaming axes flung at them in slow motion, so you can't go wrong.

I didn't go into the movie looking for anything except Jason Momoa-I mean, come on, Gorgeous hulking man with that special little eyebrow scar. But, once the beginning scenes were over and the action started-I was tensed up, eyes wide and rooting for some bad men to be killed! I loved the movie and the eye candy was just that little something extra on top of the entertainment. What more does a woman need to be entertained anyway?

I found this one by reading a past review I wrote. I said that this is the kind of movie I like. I scrolled down to see "what people who watch movies like this would watch" and it was first on the list. It is very similar: 2.35:1 aspect ratio; 5.1 surround sound. It has the violence. It has the punching, kicking and shooting. I like the story.

Loved the action! Great acting and story. Jason Momoa is not just eye candy people. I have always loved Stephen Lang, so it was a joy to see him play such a range of feelings and depth of character. Totally cried at the end! There were some things that were completely obvious, but there were also some surprises thrown in. Loved it!!!!!! It didn't hurt that Jason showed a little skin. I'm just being honest.

Slow start but it's worth hanging in there..Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang and Garett Dillahunt give some compelling kick-ass performances. Nothing action-adventure fans haven't seen before, but the setting in the Great Northwest is stunning, captured beautifully by the superb cinematography making it a key character in the movie.

The movie had lazy writers. Alot of times the actors knew things and jumped to conclusions that were pretty much a stretch. The music selection was dark and boring despite it having the potential to have alot of suspense. Jason Momoa was a pretty good actor in the movie but the use of baby too much during dangerous scenes. And do you have to have a big kiss when you're still in danger? Anyhow, the music was atrocious and the movie was set in a gray color., Ok movie.. barely.

I think Jason Momoa is awesome. If not for him, this movie would get 2 stars.
Who leaves a gun on the ground and decides to use an axe instead? Really.
Hey theres a guy trying to kill me with a gun, hmm should I use this gun or this old axe? I think I will go with the axe, yeah good idea. LOL.

Continuous stupid moves by all involved. Everybody in this flick should have been dead four or five times over before it was done. Strained the boundaries of disbelief beyond the breaking point.

I must have watched this awhile ago because I can barely remember it. Is Momoa a future action hero? He needs a better movie to make that breakthrough.
