I always use these type of Chimney starter to get the coals going on my charcoal grill. However, this one is tiny, but would work great for a hibachi or very small Weber style charcoal grill.

Amazing product. Perfect stuff for camping lovers. It really reduces overall cooking time and gets you more time for some other activities while you are camping

Just purchased for use on a boat with my Dutch Oven. I have a 10" Dutch oven with a bag for a larger oven. This folded flat and fit with my oven in the bag. It was perfect and worked just as well as the traditional "Bulky" round ones. Awesome for a boat where space is at a premium. AND BONUS!!!! I forgot to bring propane for my gas grill. I was able to use the chimney starter with the grate on top to cook some hotdogs the first night of our holiday campout until propane could be picked up at the marina. JUST an idea to modify. if the grate in the bottom could be moved up about 1/2 way, my dogs would have cooked faster without using too many briquettes. The size is perfect for dogs, (we were a family of 6) It would not support burgers for 6. I will use it on my annual Canoe trip down the Colorado (again - the compact size is awesome).

Wowie, is this built like a brute. I use it exclusively as a charcoal starter. In that role, it behaves exactly as expected, except it is square. I purchased to use with a Weber, Smoky Joe. The unit is too large to fit inside the grill pot. No big deal as I need a collapsible, portable starter.

A foldable chimney starter. How cool is that? I use it also for top searing as the grate which holds the charcoal is flat compared to like Weber starters, where the grate is like a cone. both handles are a bit flimsy and I would love them to be more tight. Why? Because before I put the chimney over my meat I need to shake it for excess ash to come out, otherwise I have it on my meat. It also comes with a little grill grate you can put on top. i dot use it for that as it gets super hot up there and greases flare up in the fire in no time.

Though it is kind of heavy, this is a great tool. It is very well made and feels like it will last forever. I hope so.
It takes up very little space and is great for camping (probably not for back packing). I use it for starting charcoal and as a camp stove.
Heats up coffee in no time, cools off quickly and easy to clean. Space saver and robust construction.
A great item for us.

Perfect addition to my camping program. Breaks down for easy packing and can function as a grill in a pinch. Love it!

Works well as a charcoal starter and as a tiny grill. Just right for one or two people. Collapses into small, neat form. Sturdier than I had anticipated. Well designed and made.
