I need to say I have never written a review for any product.....ever! I wanted a choice in how I watch TV all of the network stations are within 40 miles of my home. I went to best buy bought 2 different antennas after experimenting with both I was not happy returned both of them. I went to Walmart tried 2 different antennas there as well, returned both. Started reading reviews online about different antennas. I purchased 3 different antennas experimented with all 3. I have to say where i'm located in Clark county Ohio the Philex antenna works flawlessly I have 3 different TV's hooked up to a splitter in existing cable box. My Samsung tv 2008 has no pixelation at all, NONE! My Mitsubishi 2006 has some pixelation and my Sony 2008 has some pixcelation. I experimented with changing the cable wires to each TV to see if it was my splitter or wires after a couple hours of trouble shooting I realized that my splitter and wires were fine. Sooooo after about 2 weeks of experimenting my conclusion is that for my area the Philex amplified antenna is awesome. And not all tuners are created equal. There are tuner boxes that might cure my problem with my 2 other TV's maybe I will experiment with those next!

I installed this in my attic. The power cable for the amplifier is kind of short so I decided not to use it. This omnidirectional antenna is receiving 39 total channels OTA even when inside my attic. The plastic looks cheap though and that's the reason I installed inside because I don't think it would last enough in the south Texas sun.

Great antenna , I went from having 3 channels to 50. The antenna is located at the back of my building and not facing the towers. Great performance. Bye bye cable!!!

I first purchased an Amazon-brand non-amplified indoor antenna as proof-of-concept, mounted it in my hallway, and it found 52 free channels! But a couple of the ones we would watch most were a bit glitchy, so I decided I'd buy this Philex antenna and mount it outside on the roof apex. While waiting for it to arrive, I figured I'd pre-run the cable up to the eave and test it with the indoor antenna. The Amazon antenna found 115 channels! Wow, if the indoor antenna works so well outside, this specialized amplified outdoor antenna is gonna pick up channels from Rio de Janeiro! Nope. Best it can do is 32 channels, only one of which is good quality enough to watch. Looks great, installs easily and very securely, fails miserably in performance. Reluctantly giving it even two stars because it DOES technically work — as long as I only want to watch the 24-hour Spanish-language football (soccer) channel. I can't really return it because the effort to de-install is greater than it's worth.

Haven't even gotten a chance to mount it outside yet and are very happy with it already. Just set it in the window and hooked it up and already have 10 + more channels than before. Would definitely recommend. And hoping it is just as quality when mounted outside and is weather proofed well.

The photo on Amazon states a 19 inch diameter. Actually only measures 7 1/2 in. Really small compared to what I was expecting. It technically gets 360° reception because you can crawl up on the roof and manually turn it. The little black arrow is supposed to face toward the transmitters.

Updated:
I did a real disservice to the antenna and the company by reviewing this before I even tried it. I have it hooked up now and I get fantastic reception. I live in a rural area between Dallas and Tyler and I get stations from both areas. I get most of Dallas' and a good bit of Tyler's stations. I would definitely recommend.

It didn't work. The LED light never lit, the power injector only put out 9.2v, not 12v as it said, and no channels were found after scanning.

Great little antenna. Decided to cut the Uverse out and when I put this little antenna up I received 157 channels which a lot of them are HD. So I order the cable only for unlimited data and stream the rest. I am about 35 miles from the center of LA. Saved myself $1320.00 a year from expensive cable.
