Seems an OK umbrella so far. Cover is lacking. 4 stars for now

... but maybe I should have thrown in the few extra $$$ and got another Gustbuster Metro?
Have been travelling with the Gustbuster Metro for over a decade. Still works just fine and has been in some very serious storms. It has proven itself.
The EEZ-Y I got got the wife, as she'd lent hers to the daughter, who then promptly lost it. Good ratings and vented, so thought it worth the try.
Arrived yesterday and I played with it a bit. Unfortunately a big went and windy storm had just passed,,,, so a golden opportunity to test it was missed.
Seems a less solid build than my aged Gustbuster, tho slightly lighter and smaller too. Will see how it survives, but initial impression is that it is flimsier and won't live as long. Well,,, if it gets the chance to live and isn't lost first.
The cover that comes with it is rather useless. A bit undersized, fragile, and hard to get the umbrella back into. No pulls to help get it back on. Sewing in seams is already coming undone, just going off and on 3 times. Got out the fabric glue and tacked the various thread points that matter, and needle and thread to put in a couple points of reinforcement. Cover also has no attachment points to be able to sling the umbrella over the shoulder or across the back when not in use.
Saves a few dollars compared to the Gustbuster, and we don't get that many days where an umbrella is needed yearly in San Jose. So fingers crossed. They lose it again, and I'll go with the cheapest alternative. They don't and when/if it dies, I'll go more upscale
