Love the litter. Love the large "bag" with the resealable top AND an attached carrying handle. The 42 lbs can be a bit more than expected for some. Yet I prefer this because of quantity and ease of use. And, unlike boxes I've had delivered in the past, have not had any issue with these leaking during shipment. They always come sealed, with no holes.

And my cast doesn't mind the scent either.

I love this litter but won't be buying it again as my cat chews and claws through the plastic bag it comes in and I woke up to find a small mountain of litter he was rolling around and playing in. Back to Arm & Hammer in the box for me. The only "problem" I have, your mileage may vary, is my cat loves to pee in the corners and this turns to "cement" resulting in using a putty knife to get it off the sides of the litter box. I'm not keen on used litter flying up and hitting me in the face.

Wasn't expecting this to come in a resealable plastic bad. I love it! Pictures are taken after a few refills, but bag was filled packed when I got it! Well worth the money!

For me this got delivered in only two days from the time I ordered it, which is much shorter than what was estimated. I bought unscented fresh step, but I prefer the scented one because it is significantly better at odor elimination. Odor elimination Is really important since I live in a small apartment. Dust is not an issue for me since I have an enclosed cat box (the litter robot which is amazing). I have two cats and they don't mind the litter at all. The package has a strong handle and a zip close seal. I'm not strong at all but I still was able to lift it. Heavy but manageable due to the package design.

Litter works well. I like how it comes in a bag, easier to move around. If yours comes with a taped on clear tape handle, make sure to fully remove before using the reclosing zipper. Otherwise the handle may get stuck in it. I removed the handle and just drag/ slightly lift and move, holding the top of the bag. It is pretty heavy for me, but if you are strong you may be able to easily carry this. I only have one kitten and probably dont need this much smell protection, but someone told me about how good this litter is. Not sure if I will reorder or use the regular fresh step (instead of extreme) but it does keep any smells at bay. I have a top entrance litter box and the dog doesnt try to get into it after using this litter.

It clumps decently. I noticed the clumping is different than arm and hammer litter. Either my cat is taking an epic leak or the litter reacts differently to liquids. Some of the clumps I have been scoping out are 3/4 the size of a brick! The dust from this is pretty bad. I have the litter box in my room and I have to take it outside to scoop out the junk or else dust will fly up all over my stuff. Definitley make sure you dont have a fan on around you while cleaning the box. When my cat uses the litter box and comes by me I can see/feel/smell the dust from the litter box on her. Kind makes me not want to pet her or hold her.

The best thing about the litter is that it does last long and takes care of the odors. I just wish this was a low dust litter. On the litter bag I believe it is advertised as "low dust" formula, I can only imagine how the "normal dust" formula is. If they fixed this, this would be one of the best cat litters out there.

Been using this brand for a while and I and my cats like it. Except for how heavy it is. Lol but I wouldn't want it to be light weight anyways as this doesn't get all over the house or stick in their paws. Does a great job at clumping, great fabreeze scent, any visitors I may have are surprised they don't even smell a dirty box living in a small apartment and that's great!

I've been using Blue Buffalo walnut based cat litter for years, which I LOVE. 14lbs of that stuff is usually the same cost as this, but I figured this is 20lbs= so I get more for my $. Not so much after all. I just changed out the litter, filled it with this Fresh Step and I would say 90% of the box barely gave the same volume/fill level that 70% of our Blue Buffalo bag would yield. I scoop daily, so half way through the month I usually pour the remaining 30% left of the Blue Buffalo litter in as a top off, and it'll do it's job well until it gets fully dumped at the end of the month. I have doubts the 10% left of this box will be enough to do that job. So, 20lbs of clay litter probably doesn't get me as much use/volume as the 14lbs of walnut based litter so far. I'll wait and see how the month goes, if this stuff is remarkable and doesn't require as much of a mid month top off to last the whole month, then it would stand equal to my old stuff and I'll update/add stars to this review.
