Crocks now bends to style rather than confort
October 18, 2018
I bought Crocs originally because it was one of the very few shoes that fit my feet comfortably. I have feet that are men’s 8.5 5E, my whole life I have had to hunt to find shoes in 9.5 to 10 4E, for me clown shoe length and have learned to deal with it.
My first impression was that Crocs were stupid cheap plastic shoes that only an idiot would wear, that impression lasted until I actually put my foot into a size 8 Crocs shoe and discovered that I actually had room for my toes without them being crowded together. I bought them on the spot!
Since that time, I have bought many pairs including the lined Crocs which I buy two sizes larger to allow me to wear heavy wool socks with them. I live almost 9000 feet up a mountain in Colorado and use them as house shoes for comfort and warmth. I have now worn out my first pair and reordered, same order, same size, and what I received right out of the box is noticeably narrower. Now they are like every other shoe in that a size 10 shoe jams the toes of my size 8.5 foot together. I can only wear these with the thinnest of sock liners or barefoot. Not the solution for cold weather.
So make your own judgement, if you want shoes that look and make your foot look narrow, rather than comfort then do what you will.
