This was placed in my attic and connected to the prewired outlets that came with the house. I now have TV in EVERY room and only had to buy one antenna. Works great. I highly recommend downloading a TV Guide app to go with it. You can use the app to send reminders if you wish.
I use this to provide tv service to my entire home. I pulled in 70 channels here in the DC area! Which is great. Though ABC and CBS struggle depending on what the weather conditions are. Even though I'm only 40 miles away from their broadcast towers.
It works pretty good. My long range NBC channel would go out on the weekends and nights. This filters out cell tower interference by only accepting 700 and below signals. I am sure there are better ones out there, but this is inexpensive and works for now.
This product is okay. I'm using it indoors positioned near the television. Receiving 30 channels. Since the product is sold for various set ups it seems that a shorter cord could be include. I now have two of the ANTOP antennas. Watched the Superbowl and currently watching the Olympics.
I have a somewhat unique, attic-mounted, two antenna system that without an amplifier can pick up 15 channels that I watch. Over about a two month period, I tried four different amplifiers, all much higher priced than the Antop Smartpass Amplifier, but I was not successful with getting channels I knew I should be able to get. Then I found the Antop Smartpass Amplifier. The installation was simple and took about five minutes. I ran a channel scan and ended up with 29 channels that I will watch. On average, the signal-to-noise ratio with the Smartpass jumped from about 25 to about 43! The very low noise figure of the Smartpass adds to the stability of the signal also. Overall, this is an extremely good amplifier, with a low noise figure, and an incredible price point.
