My copy arrived Tuesday and I was only able to read the first couple chapters that night, but I was hooked! The humiliating yet hilarious start to Jenna's story and her rescue by hunky Logan really got my interest, and I reluctantly finished the book today....I didn't want it to end! This was a heartwarming love story with plenty of laughs, some suspense and danger, to keep you guessing if/how the main characters would get their happily-ever-after. I'm glad I decided to check out this author! I'm shopping for more of the series to read everyone else's stories in Harmony Harbor, and hope there will be more coming.

Welcome back to Harmony Harbor where the Gallagher's live and breathe. This is Logan's story. He is the confirmed bachelor even though the rest of his brothers and cousins are falling. Logan is with the Secret Service and a born protector. Jenna is the exact opposite. She believes in the fairy tale wedding and true love. You will be laughing, angry ready to punch someone and just want to hug Jenna. Throw in a real princess, a psycho, a sandpiper and you get the perfect ending.

Preposterous! A “physic” wedding planner, a ghost, too many characters and their relations to name - and the heroine is a WIMP.

“It’s hard enough to be dumped a week before your wedding, but to be dumped for your stepmother…”

Sandpiper Shore is the sixth wonderful installment in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series. It’s the story of CIA Agent Logan Gallagher and wedding planner Jenna Bell in a rollicking mishmash comedy of errors.

As the story opens, Jenna is in Harmony Harbor to have her final dress fitting at her sisters’ shop, Tie the Knot, when she discovers that Lorenzo, her scumbag fiancé, is dumping her for her stepmother. Still dressed in her bridal attire, Jenna runs from the shop when she loses her glass slipper and almost gets hit by a car. This is how she meets Logan as he rescues Jenna from the vehicle and, in a scene reminiscent of Cinderella’s, he places her shoe back on her foot on bended knee. Then, Logan punches Jenna’s ex-fiancé – which Lorenzo richly deserves but which comes with unwelcome consequences like being arrested and doing irreparable damage to Logan’s career. That’s not all. Now, mix in Pippa, a cute baby Sandpiper crane rescue, a Princess with her own agenda, a valuable engagement ring that keeps disappearing, an attempt at pole dancing, wedding preparations on steroids, a strange case of amnesia, a town of matchmakers and a meddling ghost and you will wonder if true love stands a chance in the oft-times hilarious chaos.

OMG, I loved Jenna and Logan together. Neither is looking for true love when it smacks them in the face. It wouldn’t be a Harmony Harbor book without Colleen Gallagher, the Gallagher’s matriarchal meddling spirit; her feline partner in crime, Simon; and Colleen’s former right-hand man and confidant, Jasper. I also enjoyed that Shay, Michael and crazy Cherry played huge supporting roles in this story. LOL! Cherry certainly means well, but the appropriateness and positivity of her influence is questionable.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Sandpiper Shore:

“Hey, Cinderella, you lost your shoe.”
---
She tipped her head back. “Look at that sky. I forgot how beautiful it is here at night.” Her voice fell to a whisper. “Silently, one by one in the infinite meadows of heaven, blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.”
He smiled. “Evangeline.”
---
“Trust me, no woman in their right mind would give up the chance to have sex with Logan Gallagher. Ho or no ho.”

Sandpiper Shore can be read as a standalone if you insist. That said, each of the books in this series have been delightful and I do believe that your enjoyment of the books may be increased if you have developed an affinity with the unique, realistic and quirky characters who appear throughout the series.

I want to live in the small town of Harmony Harbor and to claim a hot Gallagher for my own! Debbie’s storytelling is great, keeping me riveted to the pages from the beginning through to the end. The dialogue is clever and laugh-out-loud humorous; and the story is action-packed and teeming with surprising twists and turns. If you believe in fairytale happy-ever-afters, this is the book for you! My next visit to Harmony Harbor can’t come soon enough!

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is a light-hearted contemporary romance. This latest release is the sixth installment in the Harmony Harbor series and should be read in order since there are many guest appearances by characters from previous books.

Jenna Bell is a matchmaker with an amazing track record so she is blindsided when her feckless fiancé Lorenzo Romano abruptly dumps her a week before their wedding. Compounding her humiliation is the discovery Lorenzo is romantically involved with her greedy stepmother. Even more embarrassing is the public brawl that ensues after Secret Service Agent Logan Gallagher saves her from getting hit by a car. With her stepsisters, Arianna and Serena, furious at the spectacle and the monetary loss from the cancelled nuptials, Jenna drowns her sorrows at a local bar. After Logan once again rescues her, they end up in a compromising position on the beach. Recovering from her broken heart at breakneck speed, Jenna is quite smitten with Logan but he swears he is not the marrying type. Will this wistful matchmaker who dreams of a happily ever after find the prince who will make her dreams come true?

Jenna’s heart is in the right place as she tries to salvage her stressed relationship with Serena and Arianna. Unfortunately, her efforts to placate them give the impression she is a pushover who will do anything to please them. Jenna quickly recovers from her broken engagement and immediately jumps into a long distance flirtation with Logan.

Logan is quite charming and loves his zany family but he has no desire to settle down. His chivalrous rescue lands him in a heap of trouble due to the machinations of a local cop who has it in for his family. Logan is intrigued by Jenna but when duty calls, he does not hesitate to leave. Before he leaves for his assignment, Logan secures a position for Jenna that will hopefully salvage her tarnished reputation.

At this point, the storyline becomes a tangled mess of several story arcs and a dizzying array of characters. Jenna’s broken engagement becomes a complicated storyline featuring the dastardly deeds of Lorenzo and her stepmother’s attempt to swindle Jenna, Arianna and Serena out of their inheritance. The Gallagher family has plenty of trouble since Logan’s mother is facing a health crisis and she has recently left his father. The ghost of Colleen Gallagher is still trying to right the wrongs she made during her long and illustrious life. Logan and the princess he is guarding unexpectedly turn up in Harmony Harbor which puts Jenna in an uncomfortable situation that she cannot wriggle out of. The smarmy cop with a grudge continues to bedevil everyone who crosses his path.

Sandpiper Shore is a madcap adventure featuring an insta-love romance and numerous storylines. Jenna and Logan are likable characters but their relationship is sorely underdeveloped due to the convoluted plot. Longtime fans of Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series will enjoy this latest outing but newcomers will most feel lost amongst the various characters and their complicated connections to one another.

I received a complimentary copy for review.

Sandpiper Shore by Debbie Mason is the sixth book in the Harmony Harbor contemporary romance series. Each book in the series features a separate couple so they are fine to read as a standalone. There are however glimpses with previous characters involved for fans that follow the whole series.

Jenna Bell is a wedding planner that believes she’s also a bit psychic and can see when a couple is a perfect match and that is what makes her good at her job. However, Jenna herself never expected her own fiance to dump her right before their wedding and when she runs off in her wedding dress and almost gets herself hit by a car Logan Gallagher comes to her rescue.

Jilted and upset Jenna turns to Logan for comfort after which she hopes that one night can turn into so much more. However, with danger following her over returning a wedding ring and Logan also being pushed into things from his family there is a lot of things for them to overcome.

Having read other books from Debbie Mason I am familiar with her style of writing and already a fan. Instead of characters just meeting and falling in love again in this story there is plenty of action and adventure between the pair and those surrounding them. However, some things in this one seemed to just go a bit over the top and I had a bit of trouble believing everything being tossed at them leaving me to rate this installment of the series at 3.5 stars.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

What’s worse than a bridezilla? A jilted bridezilla taking up for another jilted bride (tossed aside for her stepmother, no less), out on the street for the whole town to see. This is how Logan and Jenna first meet, when he saves her from getting hit by a car after running out of her sister's bridal shop, still dressed in her bridal attire. In spite of the Cinderella moment when Logan returns her glass shoe, and the whole rescuing her from traffic (as well as punching her now ex-fiancé), Jenna realizes that being dumped doesn’t bode well for her matchmaker career. After way too much alcohol and a pole dancing attempt, Logan rescues her again and they end up spending the night on the beach. But of course, it doesn’t mean anything. Logan has his career in D.C. with the CIA, and Jenna has her hands full repairing her relationship with her stepsisters whose bridal business is adversely effected by her cancelled wedding.

I’ve read several books in Debbie Mason’s Christmas, Colorado series, so I was honored to be invited to read an advance copy of this book. This is my first book in the Harmony Harbor series and I loved it! Mason creates such a colorful, vibrant setting and the secondary characters are amazingly unique and realistic. There was never a dull moment in this one, and I loved every step of Jenna and Logan's journey. From a cop with a grudge and a complicated step family to a rescue sandpaper, royalty and amnesia, this fabulous ride kept me glued to the pages. From laughing out loud to feeling my heart squeeze to thinking, “You have GOT to be kidding!” this delightfully entertaining book found a place in my heart for dozens of reasons. If you haven’t read Mason's work, this book is a great introduction and I wholeheartedly recommend it. And while you’re reading this one, I’ll be catching up on the other Harmony Harbor books.

Harmony Harbor #6, I found the blurb on this one a little off, Jenna is a matchmaker, she owns a successful business with her stepmother until recently, she's engaged to the perfect guy until he walks in into her stepsisters dress shop and tells her the weddings off. The next thing Jenna knows she's jobless, broke, her stepsisters hate her and the only one really on her side, besides her best friend, is Logan Gallagher who has recently saved her from her ex and from herself more than once all in the span of a half a day. Protecting people is what Logan does, he's in the Secret Service, but when he meets Jenna her damsel in distress vibe is strong and he finds he can't help himself and keeps coming to her aid. After that horrible day they maintain a nice friendship. He even helps her get the job as a fill in wedding planner at Greystone Manor. But then Logan's job calls him away and then there's a car accident and when Logan comes back he not only can't remember the last few weeks of his life including everything that happened with Jenna he's engaged. To top it all off Jenna now has to plan Logan's wedding...to a princess.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Jenna's poor life spirals out of control and nothing seems to be going right and just when she thinks things are finally going her way she gets thrown a curveball or two. This is a great Cinderella story, complete with mean stepsisters and a horrible stepmother and all Jenna ever wanted was for them to be a family. I loved the characters, especially Logan, the writing is so funny and heartwarming and with a little bit of intrigue to make it really interesting. I love Debbie Mason's Harmony Harbor series. Honestly and Voluntarily given

I wasn't sure what to think about this book when first going into this. I thought it would just be a kinda lowkey romance book where Jenna kinda steals the groom. This book turned out to be so much more and I wasn't expecting that kinda wierd thing that happens and that sorta mystery. I can't say too much about the book but I will say that it was a pretty great book and I really enjoyed it. This book was so well written and I really found myself enjoying the characters. With a character likes Jennas her life just kept going from bad to worse and you can't be but to root for the best even when things are going bad. I pretty much spent my whole morning devouring this book and I highly recommend you lovely readers to check out this book!
