Update: My kids were pretty hesitant to try it out, they were afraid. Two days later my 8 year old is getting on it by himself and his confidence is growing every time he tries. Uploaded a video to show his attempts. So proud that he is trying it out, he's usually not interested in physical challenges!
Very well made. Nice and wide for my kids to practice (6 and 8 years old). I really enjoy hopping on too, it's a lot of fun! Effective in helping to train core balance. Sturdy with a good non skid top, no slipping so far. Would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a balance board!
I use this board for practice/warmups at a wakeboard park i ride at so im quite familiar with it! Bought this "NEW" board for the offseason at home. So IMPORTANT TIP! The TOPSIDE has excellent traction so all good here. The BOTTOMSIDE is finished in clearcoat and as a result IF YOUR ROLLER GETS STUCK on whatever surface you use the board can SLIP RIGHT OFF and NOT ROLL off the roller. THE SOLUTION is simple - get a piece of medium/fine sandpaper and sand the bottom of the board to remove the slippery finish. Yes it will remove a bit of the "Driftsun" logo on the bottom but you will have a much more predictable balance board experience without the sudden slippage. Suggest either carpet, plywood or a straight flat soil surface for practice so that the roller can freely roll without too much friction! Aside from slippery underside issue (which can turn this board into an accident waiting to happen to the unsuspecting) its a fun Core and Balance builder
We LOVE this balance board! I bought it for leg strengthening purposes for my son, but it is wearing my tail out too. Warning for any novices: You can really bust your tail on this thing. The surface is rough, like sandpaper. That is good for traction but BAD on your rear end if it skids across it during a fall. Overall, it’s a great workout and fun for the whole family.
It's well made and has good traction where you stand. It's a great challenge for my balance and I later bought a cushion to use in place of the roller just so I can get started. I hope to progress to the roller.
It’s almost impossible to find a decent balance board in-store anymore with the features necessary for training (skate, snow, general core strength). This one has them all...great grip across entire surface, good weight, and perfect for all sorts of exercises. Easy to travel with.
