I've been using the Silhouette Cameo for 1 year now and have purchased and have gone through more than 10 of Silhouette brand replacement mats. I saw these mats had really great reviews and the most important part, they were cheaper than the Silhouette brand so I decided to give them a try and bought the 2-Pack for $12.00 (1 Silhouette mat goes for about $8-$12)

Bottom line: I've been overpaying for Silhouette brand mats for too long!

These mats are amazing, and for such a lower cost, you can't go wrong!
They have a good sticky adhesive, not too much where it will tear your paper material, like the Silhouette mats do.
These mats allow me to peel my paper off easily without any tear whatsoever. They are slightly thicker than the Silhouette mats, and feel a lot more durable with less flop. Like I mentioned, the major consideration here, is the amazing price! At the time of writing, you can get a 3-pack for only $15, that's a great deal!

I am definitely purchasing these mats from now on.

These are great cutting mats. Since they were so cheap I bought one to see if they could replace the cutting mats for my Cricut. Although they do go through the machine the outer edges don't line up with the edges of the Cricut mat. The cutting will not be in the same place as where you want it to cut. It's not a huge difference but definitely would be important if you're doing a very specific cut or trying to save paper. With that being said I really do like the mat. It is great with thin copy paper and didn't rip when I took it off. The cover film is thicker and more durable than the cover film for the Cricut Mat. I'll keep the mat just to have as an extra mat when I'm not doing a precisely measured cut. Nicapa if you could secretly replicate the Cricut mat you'd have a lifetime buyer and I wouldn't tell!

THIS IS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give them 10 stars if I could.
I can't believe that I didn't know about these mats before!!!! This is the BEST cutting mat for your Cricut Explore and WHOO HOOO for your Explore Air 2 on the speed mode!!! Cutting large projects like an SVGcuts house is drastically reduced in cutting time !!!!

No headache from the glue on the green 12 X 12 mats. What's up with that anyway? I wrote to cricut about them and no answer. I bought a bulk pack on ebay and could hardly use them they smelled so toxic and gave me a migraine. I didn't open them right away so I couldn't return them what a waste of money.

But Nicapa mats you are heavenly!!!!!
Not only they don't smell, but they are super sticky and clean to work with. The paper doesn't get stuck like crazy glue. From parchment to .55 chipboard they all stick the same and peel off like a breeze. And they hold up well to the cutting blade.

I also like they are clear because I can see if the cut went through before removing it from the mat. If I can't see the cut marks I can just run it through again. I only had to do this once with some glitter stock but once I set the custom cut dial to light chipboard .55.

I stopped cutting projects because the mats were becoming a pain to clean and the smell was crazy. I found the light blue cricut mat and the purple the best for my projects, but they are so expensive! And still a pain to clean up and scrap off projects.
You won't believe the magic of these Nicapa mats!

I can see why some people are saying these aren't sticky - to the touch, with my hand, they aren't as sticky as the Silhouette brand mats. Put vinyl on them though and it's a whole different story. They stick far better than the silhouette mats. It is easier to get my Oracal 651 vinyl on and off; attracts less dust, and holds everything perfectly. These mats have a different adhesive on them than the name-brand mats have and at first I thought "Oh, these are never going to work", thinking they weren't sticky enough. I've now put away all of my Silhouette mats and am using only these. I run two Sit machines, a minimum of 6 hours a day, 6 days a week and am VERY impressed with these. They are thicker than the silhouette mats, and I wish I had found them two years ago when I started working with vinyl! I'll never go back to the name-brand mats again. These are fantastic.

I am absolutely thrilled with these cutting mats so far. I Have been using them with my Cricut Explore Air and they have been working with absolutely no problems. They are about 1/8th of an inch smaller than the Cricut brand mads, width wise, but they still work just fine. they do not have measurement marks on the outside of the grid, so if you rely on those measurements then you may have issues, but you would just mark it with a sharpie to avoid that issue. The mats have worked very well for cutting intricate designs with outdoor vinyl, although I have not tried them with HTV or temp vinyl yet. They seem like they will be easy to clean, and I although it has more adhesive than Cricut mats, they do not rip or tear the backing paper while pulling up your vinyl.

*more affordable than name-brand cutting mats
*Works for Cricut machines
*grips vinyl well
*retains adhesive well
*cleans easily.

These mats are a good alternative to the Silhouette brand mats at a much better price. They are thicker and are as sticky initially, so paper doesn't stick and tear like it does on the Silhouette Cameo mat. I do agree with another reviewer that the adhesive doesn't last very long. After a few cuts it was pretty much gone which made me think they weren't worth it after all. However, I sprayed Krylon® Easy-Tack™ Repositionable Adhesive on the mat to restick it, and it's working perfectly now. I've gone through so many silhouette brand mats that have torn because they are so thin, that I so think these are worth it even if you do have to spray adhesive them. They just feel much more durable then the Silhouette mats. I have been doing a lot of cutting with them, and they are holding up very well.

Absolutely in love with these mats. Sturdy and the tack is perfect. I even cut construction paper -both thin and thick types (using my Cameo and a CB09 30° blade) and it cut perfect and the paper came right off the mat without tearing or leaving behind residue. And the mats do not smell at all like the Sil mats do (low tack) which was so horrible I had to throw it out! Would definitely buy these again. They line up for use w a Cameo the same as my Sil mat - no adjustments neccessary.!

I was skeptical about these cutting mats but I decided to try them with my Silhouette Cameo 3. I have been using one of the mats for about a week now and I have to say I am very impressed. In fact, I think I like them better than the Silhouette mats. A brand Silhouette mat is almost too tacky and often pulls a lot of the paper fiber away as you pull it from the mat. As a result the stickiness doesn’t really seem to last long.
These mats have just the right stickiness. They hold the paper but don’t pull off as much fiber from the paper. As a result, I think these mats might even last longer than the Silhouette brand. Even if they don’t last quite as long, they are a third of the price so you are definitely getting your money’s worth.

I will never spend money on Silhouette mats again!

On a recommendation from some folks in a Cameo group on Facebook I decided to place an order for these mats. I figured even if they sucked, I'd only wasted one mat's worth of money but if they worked I was getting three for the price of one.

Well, they not only worked but they're now my favorite mats for my Cameo 3. During the learning process with my Cameo I'd made some pretty deep stray cuts on my original mat. I bought a pack of Cricut mats since they were cheaper and people said they lasted longer.. but the process of getting it sized right was a pain (in the hand) because I had to measure and cut some of the material off the top and left side to get it lined up even close to right. It worked, but I still have one that I haven't cut yet.. because I dread the thought of having to go through that again.

After confirming the Nicapa mats didn't need trimming I placed my order. When they arrived I was happy to see that they were usable right out of the package... meaning I didn't need to rub them on my shirt, my dog and my carpeted floor to keep from destroying cardstock of vinyl backing because the mat was too sticky. They have the perfect amount of stickiness.

Not only are they the same size, and perfect stickiness but they also feel a bit thicker.. not as floppy.. as the silhouette mats which makes me think they'll hold up longer. I've already had one "stray cut" incident and I can tell it hasn't scored the mat as badly as what happened when I did this with a silhouette mat. I'm definitely glad I decided to try these and I hope they keep selling them forever!! (Although I still have two still in the package because the first one is holding up so well I haven't head to open a replacement yet... I'm thinking of ordering more to keep around just in case they stop offering them).

I used these in my Cricut and they work! It held my cardstock, as well as glitter paper, well. I use both of my Cricuts everyday so I go through a lot of blades, mats, etc. I am really enjoying these mats. Usually when I open new Cricut mats they have a chemical smell, and you have to scrape paper off because they are too sticky for the first few sheets. These have no smell at all, and they are holding the paper securely and not ripping, or peeling the back of the paper off. I will be back for more.
