I purchased two packages of these on 12/14 and just got around to opening them. Both bags are stale - the sticks are hard when they should be soft. Both bags have an expiration of January 2019 and neither seem to have holes in them so no air has leaked in. Not sure why they are stale and it's too much of a pain in the butt to send them back. I think I'll switch to chewy and see if I can get better bags there.

My dogs loves all pupperonis flavors Except this one. He’s a piggie and rarely turns his head away from a dog treat. Pick any flavor BUT Prime Rib. Also unlike other pupperonis, this was brown on the inside and pink on the outside - weird. They’ve always been the same color inside and out from my experience. Maybe i got a bad batch...

yip yip yip... my humans are out so i am taking this chance to let you know these pup-peronis are the best. i do all kinds of weird stuff and they give me these great treats. and dog i love these snacks. i think. i usually swallow them so fast i dont really taste them so im not sure but i can always smell it when one of my humans opens the bag so i know it is time to sit, lay down, stand on my hind legs or chase my favorite toy so i do it and turn my best dog eyes on them for more pup-peronis. dog take it from me youre gonna love pup-peronis.

I use these treats only for agility training because they are long and easy to rip off little pieces rapidly rather than reaching into a treat pouch to retrieve treats. They are not the healthiest, more like the dog equivalent of junk food potato chips, so I certainly don't buy them for that reason. They have added sugar and "meat by products." My dog just loves these things because they smell very strong, so it is easier to keep his focus. They are moist and soft, so dogs can swallow them quickly and move on to the next obstacle.

So, dogs love them, but they are certainly not very healthy. If I could find a healthier treat with similar characteristics, I would switch to those in a heartbeat.

This treat for my 5lbs morky is the pied piper. I shake the bag and my dog looks at the bag and goes pee outside then goes in her pen until her paws are dry. If I was a better trainer, I could do anything with this treat. It's almost like my dog understands English instructions when I have the treat in my hands and if there is no treat she is instantly unwilling to cooperate. I try to break off little pieces, but I still burn through it. The price is worth the results I get from my dog. She used to give me a stubborn sad face and lock her little body in front of the pen showing her refusal to get in and now she just jumps in and waits for her treat. It's not like I couldn't lift the little thing and put her in, but I think it's better if she feels like it's her choice and this treat does the trick.

I have seven dogs. Yes, I am the crazy dog-lady. I do a lot of dog rescue and fostering and it's always a challenge to find dog food and treats for every taste. I do try to mix up the treats from time to time, but always seem to come back to the Lean Beef Pup-Peroni. Every single dog loves it.
The consistency is much like a pepperoni stick though of course not spicy like that. It's moist, but not wet. I like that is has less fat.
I've used this brand for years and never had any of my dogs get sick from it nor have I ever had a bad batch with any mold or anything. I have had that with other brands, so this is important to me.
Even if you have a finicky dog, this treat is likely to win them over.

Huge "go to" for my dogs. It's their morning wake up treat. And they expect it. Can't tell you if it's the absolute, perfect, healthy, vetted, organic treat. But I know they love them, so I love this product. I have a 10 year old French bulldog and she still looks like a young adult, so they mustn't be too "dangerous".

My dogs love these things. In fact, one of my dogs wakes me up every morning so that I will give him his morning treat. The sticks are very easy to break into small pieces so that you can use them as "training treats".
Over the years, I have tried various treats for my dogs. Some they liked....some they didn't like. They like these.

These look like Slim Jims and even smell like them. My dog likes the flavor and the unique shape. I sometimes break a stick in two pieces because my dog is really little. If I give her a whole one, she wants to hide it in our bed for later and that's not something we enjoy having her do. The price was good and my dog has not had any digestive issues when eating these. I only give her one now and then and she seems to truly enjoy her treat. I do wish the first ingredient was meat instead of meat by products and that there wasn't sugar as the third ingredient but my vet said one or two of these treats a week is fine my Yorkie.

Luckily for me, my dogs love these and the price is good. I need something to sneak pills in. These are the right size and as they are generally fresh when they arrive it is easy to use them for this. I just cut the into short pieces and then cut the open iengthwise about halfway through, stick the pill in, close it up and I swear my dog has no clue. No more bitten hands, or "cheeked" pills :)
