I have to wonder if the people giving these a mediocre review are smoking some cat nip. I’m a HORRIBLE cat owner. I love them but they make me crazy and I’m also super forgetful with the litter box, which I resent having in the house in the first place but hey, such is life. I have one Breeze box for two cats, and one of them gets sub-q fluids daily so he pees a LOT. My slacker self usually gets around to changing the pad every Sunday. And these pads work WAYYYYYYYYY better than the original Breeze pads. The others are hot mess with liquid floating on top - these are completely gelled up and nice and solid. So if you are a loser like me, save yourself a ton of money and gagging and buy these pads instead. For real.

I bought these to use in the Breeze system and was a little leery based on the price and other reviews that said they didn't work as well as the Breeze pads. I had a not so awesome experience with the Breeze pads (they smelled really awful after just one or two times of my cat using the box). I was pleasantly surprised to find that these are much better than the Breeze pads! They are really absorbent and fit the box perfectly. No added fragrance or scents which is better for everyone. I will be ordering more of these and am very happy with this product!

We use these pads in a Tidy Cat Breeze litter system. We have one cat the urinates like a small dog and the regular clumping litter gets used up fast. With this system the urine filters down through the pellets and gets soaked up by the pad. This pad works as well as if not better then the ones that come with the box. It is surprising how much urine it can hold and keeps the smell in check, which is saying a lot if you know what cat urine can smell like.
We also have this in the bottom of a shifting litter box with Pine pellets as an experiment due to the cost of Tidy Cat pellets and foster cats. Some cats use it some prefer the regular litter but we have multiple boxes. The pad itself is like throwing away a diaper.

They seem to work as well as the name brand as far as I can tell. Now we just need AmazonBasics to make pellets for the Breeze System.

Updated January 9, 2018: Came back to order more pellets and to make sure I had reviewed these pads. I see I did review them shortly after purchase but wanted to add that after a few months of use these aren't just equal to the Tidy Cat brand - they are superior. We have one cat on the verge of CRF (turning 16 this month) and one on the verge of diabetes (due to years of pred use for severe auto-immune issues) so lots of peeing is going on. When I changed the brand name pads by lifting one corner urine would pour out as I attempted to carefully maneuver it into a trash bag.

The litter is next to the toilet in one of our bathrooms so I would hold the pad over the toilet to let it drain a bit before the bag transfer. I have found that this does not happen with the Amazon version. All urine stays in the pad as I lift it. Obviously the laws of physics have not been suspended and it can't hold an infinite amount of liquid so at some point the pad would reach its saturation point but at the point where I change (based on odor) the basics pads are not at full saturation and this makes pad disposal much less messy.

So quite pleased with this option and again just wish there was a less expensive option for the pellets as well.

These are very thick and absorbent. They are comparable to the breeze liners, only more affordable. I've been trying to find ways to cut costs on the breeze, and while I've not yet found a good compromise for the pellets, this will do nicely for the pad.

I love these!!! I used the Tidy Cats brand for a while, and they worked great, but were costly. Especially with three cats. These are such a great alternative. They absorb just as much as the name brand ones. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the odor control isn't as good, but its still pretty good. I've started to sprinkle baking soda over the pad before putting it in the litter box and now the odor control is even better than the Tidy Cats brand. I've recommended these to my friend who originally got me into the Breeze system and I'll keep recommending them to everyone, haha.

And as a side note, I got the idea from another review but I have started using pinto beans instead of the Tidy Cats litter and it is absolutely amazing. SO much cheaper and it works just the same. In fact, I use less of it as not as much of it is tossed out either by the cats or when scooping it. I know its weird, but I highly suggest giving it a shot!

I was a bit skeptical but decided to try them for my Breeze litter system for which they are designed. I have been very pleased to find they last as long as the original pads. For some odd reason the pee shows more on these pads, but I do not find an odor (I keep the box in my laundry room). I have 2 cats and one of these boxes which is the one they use most of the time. They tend to pee at one end of the box so after 2-3 days I turn around the tray and then I get another couple of days out of the pad. So I change it about every 5 days. The pad fits into the tray exactly the same as the original Breeze pad, looks almost like the original pad and lasts as long. In my experience. Definitely switching over to these.

They fit the Tidy Cat Breeze litter box. It works...IF you change it every other day. Otherwise the ammonia smell will be so strong your eyes will water. Also, when you throw them away after use, it's best to put them in a (biodegradable!) plastic bag. The regular Tidy Cat Breeze pads do much better in the long run. One of their pads would become soaked, but the ammonia smell was next to nothing. To me, it's not worth it to buy these.

One Tidy Cat pad would last 7-8 days with my huge cat that urinates a lot. Four pads per bundle would last 30 days at $5-$8 depending where you buy them. These pads need to be changed daily to control the odor. (Baking soda on the pad does not help.) Financially speaking, the Tidy Cat pads work better for odor control, absorption, and clean up.

I only have one cat, but he has 3 litterboxes as I HATE the smell of a cat in the house.....with the Breeze system (all of my litterboxes are Breeze), you seriously can't even tell I have a cat. There is zero tracking and these pads soak up the urine and smell immediately. I knocked one star off because they aren't *quite* as absorbent or odor-trapping as the name brand, but they definitely are worth it due to the cost difference. Will definitely purchase again!

They work just as good as the expensive tidy cat brand. Some reviews have said that it doesn't hold odor like the Tidy Cats brands, but I find that at times I still smell urine using tidy cat brands anyway. The trick is to have enough pellets into the cat litter box to cover the vents, so odor does not escape. And you will never have an issue. I have seven cats and you will never know that I own one.
