This is a great cable, charges phone fast, fits perfect on my Samsung S5, length is great. I've been looking for months for a replacement to the original cable for my phone, I bought a supposedly original cable which did not work well, after being fed up with replacement I opted to take my chances with this cable, way much better, I like the silk cord braided material, is very flexible kind of cool retro, connectors look very well constructed, they look like high end. So far so good.

Zero longevity

One of the two cables stopped working in less than a week. The braided jacket looks nice and feels sturdy and the connectors seem well built but if they won't charge my phone or convey data, what good are they? Wasn't expecting Mogami quality but for a cord that stays in one place and doesn't get moved or bent much, I would have expected a much longer lifespan. Can't recommend that anyone buy these.

I bought two packs providing four cables and so far only one is working consistently. Also one fresh out of the pack caused a power error to show up on my usb port. Since the errors info box flashed on the screen in the same spot I did not realize there were about five when I closed them. Now two of my USB ports are no longer working! Buyer BEWARE!!!!!! I bought the double pack and they are well 👍worth it. Buying another pack because its hard trying to find another charger for our Galaxy 5s. Always need a back ~up. We are not the kind of people that will buy a new phone if the old one is in perfect condition.

cords do not charge. Using the same outlet and charger, I switched back to an old cord and the phone charged fine. These cords don't work. It's unfortunate, because the braided material and price point made this product sound perfect, but they are duds.

Solved my problem

Got this for my 2010 WD My Book external hard drive as the device wouldn't connect anymore to my laptop, new and old, when USB is plugged in. I thought it might be been the cord that went bad and sure enough it was. Now this works great and the thicker cord will last much longer and now I have thus in USB 3.0 instead of 2.0 so faster data transfer. Perfect.

Great price and value for these hard to find "off year" Samsung cables. The S5 used this weird cable and they are almost impossible to find except on-line. Nice looking too braid look too.

Don't waste your money

This product worked for a couple of weeks, then my phone would not charge. I changed the battery, that did not help. I used the other charger cable that came in a pack of two. Cable #2 worked for less than a week. I figured there was something wrong with my phone. Started searching for a new phone but bought another charging cable before spending hundreds of dollars on a new phone. Within 15 minutes my phone went from zero charge to 100% charge.
This product is not worth spending your money or aggravation on. Two cables that lasted for less than 3 weeks.
