We have had a metal Continental style mop for years which served well. However, it is near impossible to find any replacement mop heads for it. As a result, we decided to try this mop as the price was about the same as two replacement mop heads for the Continental, and replacement
heads for this mop are availble and less expensive. Here are my observations.
The mop head is about 11 inches, shorter than the Continental. Bigger mop heads cover more territory and require less swipes.
The wringing mechanism is mostly plastic. I just don't see this lasting very long. The mechanism works well, but just doesn't seem too sturdy. The foam heads also do the job. I would give them a plus.
The one thing that I like least is the handle. Yes it telescopes, but hardly enough. My wife says she has to have it extended full length, while I keep reaching for more handle. Just not there. I think anyone over 5'8" will wish there was more there.
So, for the price, we will live with it until it either breaks or we find some Continental mop heads.
