This is a great book that chronicles how Buckingham Palace became the Royal Family's favorite place to live. Charles River also put out a book on Kensington Palace recently and this one is kinda like a companion to that one.
Having visited this stunning home of several of England's reinging monarchs, the author, Charles River Editors gives us a well laid out history of the this storied Palace and the famous Kings, Queens, and past members of England's aristocracy that have influenced the look of a Palace that is still occupied by the present Queen Elizabeth II and her family. Not a long read, but, one that is full of interesting historical detail. "Buck House" is one of the icons of London, and who can forget that "kiss" on the balcony between Charles and Di.
Quick read. With nice inside stories directly from the Royal Family themselves. Although there are a few spelling mistakes and mix up of names, they do not distract too greatly from the overall narrative. It is recommended to read.
