Hands down the best movie of 2017. The Shape of Water was good but this movie is great. Don't miss it. For those viewers who think they won't like it because there is a "horror" component, fear not. I thought the same and was talked into seeing it by the universal nagging from everyone I know who'd seen it. Liked it so much I may watch it again.

I on average buy 6-7 horror movies a month on dvd or bluray, and probably watch 2-3 movies every 2 days, most of which are horror/thriller.
I'm well versed in the genre.
and although this is not the Scariest movie, the Goriest movie, the highest production value, or the lowest b-movie retro chic production value, this movie is what is is, and does it sooooo perfectly, it is a deeply satisfying and enjoyable watch front to finish.
It's also an amazingly insightful movie, that made even myself sit back and reflect on my own thoughts and actions day to day.
don't pass this film up, it is guaranteed to become a classic that is talked about for decades to come.

I didn't expect to like this movie or be surprised by it, but I really liked it and was pleasantly surprised. There's enough humor to off-set the "horror" and the actors are great. The main character's TSA agent friend is an amazing touch - I can't imagine this movie without him. There's an optional ending, but I didn't watch it. I liked the original ending too much. Some people are avoiding "Get Out" because it's a "horror" movie, but it's worth seeing just because horror movies don't generally rate oscar nominations. What could have been a movie based racist stereotypes turns into so much more than that yet still still delivers uncomfortable truths. Humor and horror rule the day and Kaluuya is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and see this one.

Great film! From the acting to the flow of the plot, very enjoyable and well done. The story itself doesn't drag or go to quick and the idea alone is original. The acting was phenomenal, the way the characters were portrayed was great with how developed and in depth they were. Some of the acting seems a little off but I am sure that this was done intentionally to give the viewer an off feeling for certain scenes in order to cause an involuntary deduction of both the key pivotal moments and the subtle details. The alternate ending in my opinion was beautifully conceived but the used ending was sufficient. I believe that this movie delves further than on matters of race, I must say that there are points to this story that are very relatable... It covers the issues of trust with others and ones own judgement. I absolutely enjoyed the character Chris. Without giving away much I will say he pulls you in to a point where you can see this story through his eyes(this line is humorous if you watch it). Honestly though I am not too exercised in giving good reviews. That being said if want an exciting, deep, thrilling, and initially confusing in a good way movie, I implore you too give this refreshing masterpiece a chance.

All I can say is civil rights meets The Stepford Wives in a very unexpected way. I loved the lead character, Chris. Additionally, Katherine Keenan picks very interesting roles. I should have realized what was coming when I realized she was in the film. I was uncomfortable during the whole movie because of the inability of the white characters to speak to Chris as a man rather than a black man and treat him like a human being rather than a black human being.

AWESOME movie. In many ways an updated version of the original Stepford Wives with themes of racism replacing misogyny. Great twists and turns and a satisfying conclusion. I didn't watch the alternative ending because honestly I didn't feel the need. Nice use of humor throughout the movie too. Good balance of scary and funny. Really great performances all the way around from the cast. Finally a "popular" movie that actually lives up to the hype.

TS... Motha Fu@#kin A!

I was very intrigued by this movie and after watching it, I must admit, this was an absolute GEM! Not only was it a well played out movie, it was a mind blowing realization of how our world works. This was probably more farfetched than things are in todays society, but a great representation of what some people experience day to day because of their skin color. I was a bit surprised seeing that Jordan Peele wrote/directed it but DAMN, he has some talent. Rodney was a constant reminder J. Peele had a huge role in this movie cause that guy was hilarious!

The ending was not expected. (which makes a good movie, GREAT!)

Glad the alternate ending wasn't the "actual" ending, but glad it was incorporated because its exactly what would happen in todays world.

BRAVO Jordan Peele. Looking forward to more of your work!

Loved this. Rich with all the right elements: Suspense, sunny new love, jump out of your seat foreshadowing, racial tension with perfect balance of wit and truth/revelation. Nicely paced, packed with quiet double entendre, and just enough special effects to keep it all truly weird and suspenseful. I tuned in after hearing Daniel K say Stepford Wives (70's) inspired him - as well as muddled racial times we're living in. Enjoyed the alternate ending, but it was the wrong way to go. The chosen ending was just right for the tone for this movie. So much fun. Why couldn't the Stepford Wives remake have had such fresh relevance, and great characters and effects. Enjoy this smart, dark, mystery, and some great writing.

Superb! I was wanting to watch this movie for a long time but figured it would fall short of a good movie so I kept putting it off. Boy, was I wrong. Thrillers today seem to fall short or just be a repeat of another one produced in the past 100 years. This should keep you on the edge of your seat most of the movie. Glad I bought it and plan on sharing it with the rest of the family and watching again.

loved this movie..heard people whining it didn't deserve an oscar (which it won for best original screenplay) but I felt well deserved. Original story with lots of quirky twists and social commentary that is not heavy handed but makes an impact. Scary in multiple granddaughter has seen it four times...i've watched twice. have to say the alternate ending was a bust--glad they chose the ending they did!
