Didn't care for it.
September 4, 2017
I didn't care for this book. The hero has been a widower for three years. When he meets the heroine he starts having a "few" feeling toward her. But because of his first wife he has guilt all the way to about 97% of the book. Yes, you heard me right. 97%!!! That is not romantic. That is not a love story. There is no heat in this book. I don't even remember if there was kissing. Maybe there was just some hugs. I don't even remember.
Nothing much happened in the way of action either. She escaped the bad guys and then she stays with the hero in a cabin like three miles away in the woods. Even after bad guy breaks in and they realize that bad guy has seen her blood on the porch and knows she's been there, they just get a new door and keep on staying there like the don't expect the guy to come back. Smh
The letters were interesting and I really wanted her to be Claire. That is only reason I kept reading was to find out if she was and for her to reunite with her parents. That part of the story turned out to be ok but didn't turn out like I hoped (with the mother).
Anyway some may like this book. I just didn't and wouldn't try this author again. No offense. To each their own.
