Pretty useful text for getting up to speed on current health systems sciences. Chapters aren't too long but very informative.

The content of the book is great! Gave 1 star for misleading description of book (on this site as well as on AMA website) - it doesn't have 400 pages, only 228 pages. It lead me to believe (wrongly) that the chapter topics would be covered in-depth, but boy was I wrong.

This is a useful textbook for health systems science education. It is appropriate for undergraduate and graduate medical education. This is comprehensive and well written. The new provider will need an understanding of health systems science as well as clinical and basic science. This is a great place to start!

This book is excellent. It is very detailed and comprehensive. The figures in the chapters are well made and easy to follow. Traditionally the domains of "health systems science" are not well covered in most medical school curricula, and this book makes great steps toward covering this information. I believe it's a must read for any medical educator!

We ordered copies for our entire curriculum team. The first version of this book does a great job delving into what will be "third science" of medical education from this point forward.

This is a very helpful resource that I have referred to often in building a curriculum in Social and Health System Science.
