Great tripod with lots of functionality. All of the smartphones in my family fit the tripod well, and they were all different types of phones.

Only down side is that if you twist the legs, it's hard to realign them which results in a crooked phone when mounted. But that's super fixable with photo editing, which can help realign photos automatically. Still a great buy and easy to use in any situation!

This review is for the black / white version. The tripod is intentionally small so you can take it places and wrap the legs around unflat surfaces. I like how bendable they are. The piece that holds the cell phone is very difficult to use. I felt like I was going to break it trying to open it up to fit my phone. I have a Galaxy S8 with a thin case, and it "just" fit. I like how you can use it horizontally and vertically. But when you screw the phone holder into the mount, when you screw it all the way it doesn't line up with the mount. Not that it's a big deal. You can tell it's made cheaply, and you get what you pay for. Although, IMO, it's not worth even ten dollars.

This thing would be fantastic if it stretched a little wider but you have to stretch it to nearly the breaking point to fit a larger iPhone in the clip. And forget it if you want to keep the case on. Once I wrench my phone in there it does the job but I’m basically counting the days for it to break. I purchased 2 to give the other as a gift but I’m returning the gift one because i don’t want anyone else to break it trying to use what is now a pretty standard device size.

Great concept, good engineering, poor QA. Two of the three legs were perfectly cemented, the remaining leg fell off while was examining it. I have cemented the leg using a modified acrylic adhesive. Result: Better than new. When the manufacturer gets the Quality Assurance up to speed I doubt there will be few (IF ANY) valid negative comments.
Amazon: thanks for making this available

It's compact and very adjustable. The negative is that the legs are made of cheap plastic (1 of the knuckles split on me just opening the tripod, right out of the box). However, it does exactly what it should, and what it says it does in the description, so I won't go lower than an "as expected" 3 stars.
For as long as this stays in one piece I'll have a use for it, although I did buy another very similar in size and function that is of superior quality to this one.

Spend the extra $2 for the stronger, sturdier stand! Check my photo for updated product.
I will say, this is by far the best tripod for its money. I needed something to hold my phone when I FaceTime or something to hold my phone when I type from my wireless keyboard. The stand is well made with white rubber and strong matte black plastic. With two different screw holes to mount your device in at any angle, this can go blow for blow against a $50-60 dollar stand. I also like the fact that it included a cheap plastic Bluetooth camera button for hands free picture taking. The only complaint I have for this, which really isn't a complaint at all, more of a gripe, is that its hard to rotate your device without loosening the grip on the screw attachment. Overall, 4.5/5 stars.

Bought this to use as a phone camera holder. The tripod is made of a plastic material. If moving the head past it's threshold, it will come off. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. The camera holder itself is very strong, you'll need both hands to get the phone into the holder, and has a think sponge rubber grip. Once in, the camera is secure. Haven't used the remote.

So much for “universal.” My iPhone SE does not fit, and upon closer review of the other reviews, there are a number of other phones that do not fit. The stand is larger than it appears in the pictures so don’t think you’ll be slipping this in your pocket or purse for convenient travel. I didn’t test the remote control, just ordered a return slip. Also the plastic feels very lightweight and cheap, I wouldn’t expect it to hold up to much use or any abuse. It probably works if it happens to fit your phone, but you’ll have to ask someone else.

Works great for a cell phone and gopro but tricky to use with a heavy dslr, the legs were sturdy but the first pivot that sits directly under the mount moves a bit. Still got the job done just had to reposition a few times. I still think it's a great product for the price just wish that first pivot was a bit firmer..

Just tried to use it for the first time. Doesn't fit my IPHONE 6 plus with a case. The case is very hard to remove so that is not an option. Looks OK other than that huge issue. Don't buy for I Phone 6 Plus if you have a case. Not sure it would fit without the case. Have to return and bummed because I waited over 3 weeks for this item. Going to a store.
