I had the opportunity to use this toothbrush on my 40 pound coonhound. My dog does not mind having her teeth brushed and will sit for the process every night. Prior to this, I had used a finger brush, but found it too big for her mouth and the plastic bristles too hard. However, this dual headed brush fits well, the bristles are soft enough and the double head allows both a focused brush on the inner molars with the smaller brush, and a more sweeping brush with the larger head for the more anterior teeth. I use Petrodex with the brushes and find that any start of gingivitis can be halted with a daily brushing lasting about 3-4 minutes. I have not tried to remove any tartar on her teeth directly, as I am concerned that metal scraping without polishing could injure the enamel of her tooth. Any local tartar is likely to be a cosmetic issue as long as there is no gingivitis. So, this is a very good brush, and so far has held up well with daily brushing. Highly recommended.

I use these for my cats, and although it's innately difficult to brush feline teeth, these seem to do the trick. If you haven't brushed your cat's teeth before, don't expect to get a full cleaning the first, second, or even third try. It takes them more time than you too get used to the concept, but in time they'll acclimate while you get better at your technique.

I ordered this for my Jack Russell and was very happy with the price and fast shipping time of less than 2 days. When I opened the box I saw that the plastic/cardboard packaging was opened and 2 of the 8 brushes were missing. I opted not to contact the seller and deal with the hassle of the return, so I take responsibility for accepting a damaged/incomplete product. I brushed my dogs teeth and found the toothbrushes are hard plastic slots for your finger with full soft bristles at the end. The plastic finger insert is cumbersome and it's easier to just hold the brush normally when I brush my dogs teeth. I thought these would be soft and flexible, as that would make maneuvering the brush easier for me and more comfortable for my dog. I will not order this product again and look for something with a smaller, flexible, more glove like finger insert.

These are finally the Finger Toothbrush I've been looking for! They fit. I've been trying every other brand I find on Amazon and they are all sized for women and children. Maybe no other male dog owners brush their dogs teeth but I do. (Yes, my wife usually has to remind me.) All the others I've either had to modify or throw away. If you have small fingers you may find these large I don't know but if you have large fingers try them.

In what world does a toothbrush bigger than mine fit in a small dog's mouth, let alone a cat's? Maybe a mountain lion or a mastiff. Not what is advertised. These are just massive, its ridiculous.

I have fairly large hands and these are still to big and move around when trying to brush my dogs teeth. I thought they would make it easier, but it ended up being more difficult. I feel like you can get to the teeth and do a better job with a standard tooth brush.

I would recommend getting a scraper tool for anyone that has trouble managing their dog's plaque. Those work great.

Overall, I would not recommend these. Stick with a regular tooth brush.

I've always used toothbrushes, which are okay if your dog likes this ritual. Mine are a bit resistant, so I decided to try the Fingers. I actually like them better. You have a bit more control and can feel where you're brushing. To be doubly efficient, I tried it with two at the ready (a toothpaste-loaded Finger on two fingers) to do a doubly good job. Don't do this. If your dog whips it's head around just once, the toothpaste from the second finger will get smeared on their head or jaw, whatever is nearest. SIZE: I should note that, for a woman, I have large hands and these fit better than another brand I tried.

I've always struggled with finger toothbrush with my cats and only thing I walked away was scratched arms and still dirty teeth. These tiny toothbrushes worked just fine with my 3 cats. Keep in mind though, all three of my cats are quite docile and lets me do lot of uncomfortable things without complaint (like clipping nails and cleaning their ears or playing with their paw pads). I'm not sure why but my cats were all intimidated by the finger brushes where they were perfectly ok with these tiny brushes. The bristles are super soft and small enough to fit and reach deep inside the mouth.

The first time I tried to brush my cat's teeth (3 cats+ my grandmother's cat) it was such a pain. I was using a baby toothbrush and had to have someone hold the cat while I tried to get the toothbrush to make contact with their teeth. I decided to try these and what a world of difference they made!! I was able to brush the teeth of all 4 cats by myself and quickly. With these, you can actually feel that you're making contact with their teeth. The finger openings are a little large for my fingers, but I found if I wrapped my finger with a bit of paper towel that it created a more secure fit. I'd highly recommend them!

Excellent product and packaging. Very good bargain. When I ordered it, didn't realize they would be too big for my tiny 2 lb poodle. Shelly from H&H Pets emailed me to see how I liked the toothbrushes. When I explained I ordered the wrong thing, SHE APOLOGIZED and offered to send me tiny toothbrushes for free. She wouldn't even let me return these. Now that is incredible customer service. And I received them on a Saturday to boot! Thank you thank you thank you!

Do not hesitate to order from this company, you will not be disappointed!
