I am using this cover on our 6Qt Instant Pot. At first, it seems like it does not fit properly, however, it is actually a good fit. When placing the lid cover on the pot, just press the Lid edges onto the pot. It gently locks into place and makes a slightly snug fit on the pot. Some people may feel that it is not a tight fit, but it does stay in place without retracting back or popping off. To remove the lid, it's easy, whereas you can use your index finger to easily lift the lid edge off the pot. Also, while in the refrigerator, we put food dishes on top of the LID and it does not cave in. It's very strong and sturdy and does not expand/contract. You don't want a lid that is too tight to put on or take off.
Just one suggestion to the manufacturer. To make the Lid just a tiny bit more tighter around the pot, you could increase the lip/ridge depth around the edges of the Lid. This would allow it to sink deeper into the rim edges of the pot and give a tighter fit. (this may satisfy some of the customers that say it is not a good fit)

My wife always makes hot soup in the Insta Pot, then covers it with the Lid. Later, after the pot cools down, it goes into the refrigerator. For days, the Lid stays on, doesn't retract or pop off. Again, no issues. As far as it being seal tight, yes, it does keep air from getting in/out. I lift the edge, press the LID downward to push out some of the air, then close the edge. This causes the Lid to have a inward curve due to the removed air. It stays this way, even in the refrigerator. I later lift the edge of the Lid to let the air in, then the Lid pops back upward.

Note: Do not cover your pot with plastic wrap. This will interfere with the Silicon LID. The plastic wrap makes the pot edges thicker and will make the Silicon Lid difficult to stay on.

Overall, the product works fine. for me.

I tested this lid when I first got it and it fit my instant pot fine. It fit so well that I could play it like a drum. I kept the lid on for a week before I used it with an actual meal. Even though it fit, it did seem like the lip of the lid was a bit smaller than it needed to be.

After making some soup the other day, I put it back on. It seemed to go on fine again. However, the next morning when I opened it again, I found that the lid no longer stayed on very well. It seemed that maybe the condensation plus the cold made it not fit so well again. Honestly, I think it's because the lip wasn't designed to curl under the lip of the bowl, but instead just goes around the outside of it. It's alright, but I don't think I would rely on it to travel with.

EDIT: It's basically useless now. I understand that soaking it in hot water should help (because hot things expand). Unfortunately, I'm usually using this lid to keep something in the fridge. All that hot water business is worthless if you then refrigerate it. After a couple of months, I've gone back to plastic wrap. This doesn't look like a manufacturing flaw; it looks like a design flaw. These pots have a huge lip, but this lid is designed to barely grab the edge of it.

Ok so it's a silicone lid that is flexible and designed for the 6qt Instant pot right? Wrong. It is the same size as the lid but in now way seals. It just sits on top of the stainless steel liner and that's it. Do not buy this lid! Watch my video for more info.

OK This Company Impresa Products has great customer service. They really tried to get it right. The Silicone Lid was too large for my pot, so they rushed a second one to me without requesting the 1st one to be returned. (who does that?) The 2nd Lid was also too big. By "too big" I mean it does not snap on the pot, it does not seal. It sits on the top, so would work to keep flies off but not to keep sealed and fresh for storage. I have spoken on the phone with company representatives and they were so sorry and very nice. However the lid needs some tweaking to make it keep food fresh.
1. LOVE the customer service, and the treatment I received.
2. I hope they get the pot lid size corrected. I am still interested in one that fits.
3. Thankful for taking care of my needs.

Please read all the 1 and 2 star reviews before you gamble on this lid fitting your Instant Pot SS liner. I purchased this lid after Thanksgiving on a Lightning Deal and shame on me I didn't read the reviews. "Lightning Deal" combined with product named Insta Pot led to my erroneous assumption that this was an Instant Pot product. It's NOT and it DOESN'T fit. Every "problem\solution" described in other buyers 1 and 2 star reviews describes my experience with this cover. Save yourself the $$. Now I'm looking for a creative way to use this silicone disk before I just give up and toss it in the trash. Grrrrrr, I really hate wasting money :-(

This lid is exactly what I needed. It fits snuggly (Isn't that what you want to preserve freshness?) and makes it so east to store leftovers right in the Insta Pot liner after cooling and straight into the fridge. I waited a long time to order this and so wish I'd done it sooner. It's very handy and supple and washes up beautifully. The material it's made of appears to be very durable as well.

This lid barely fits the 6-quart pot, and I can't trust it to stay sealed. It has a tendency to pop off on one side over time as it is stored in the refrigerator. On the bright side, once it is in place, it makes a nice round sound if you care to use it as a drum.

The plastic material is study and solid, suggesting the potential for a number of years of quality service. I only encountered one problem...the lid didn't fit my Instapot IP-DOU60 bowl. I tried to force it to securely and completely cover the rim, but it was just a mite too small circumference-wise and wouldn't stay put. So unfortunately I have no use for it (other than perhaps an ersatz frisbee). Left feedback for the seller, but they didn’t deem me worthy of a response I guess...

I love the Insta Pot Silicone lid. Tight fit the first time, but I understand it gets a little easier to go on after a few uses. The company informed me to soak it in hot water a couple of times before using the first time, but I just washed it and put it on. Still fit without soaking but would have been easier had I soaked it. There was no odor in the fridge from the roast I cooked! So happy I discovered this item. May order a second as I now own two liners for my Insta Pot. These are great for storing leftovers in IP liner in fridge, or prepping food ahead for the pressure cooker or slow cooker mode.
