Plantar fascitis & Achilles tendonitis relief....finally! Just received this board 4 days ago but saw incredible balance progress and lessened heel pain after the first day. Nothing had previously alleviated my heel pain, which began suddenly some 15 months ago. Went to ortho MD who gave me a big, bulky splint to wear at night, which I did faithfully for the prescribed 6 weeks. Still no relief. Wearing wedge heeled shoes helps tremendously. However, after using this board I can even walk for awhile in flat shoes. I have high arches which likely contributes to the heel problems but cannot tell you how excited I am to have found this board. It is sturdy, lightweight and easy to store. I use it on our tile floors which is the only flooring surface in our home. I am a 64 yo female and balance at this age becomes a concern, if not an issue. I was able to stabilize my body on this board after playing with it just a few times. It's also kind of fun and can be used while watching TV or reading. Highly recommend this product and this brand.

Purchased as lightning deal. Happy. Was looking for a solid core board but didn't want plastic. I'm 230lb. I purchased b/c a previous review indicated their weight. A weight limit is NOT on the box or that I saw on line from the mfg. I was worried about the plastic dome on the bottom, could it support weight for a decent time.
** The wood base is sturdy YAY! The hard plastic dome on the bottom is better structured than I thought, it is dome like on the bottom but it spreads out and is sturdy. (They should show a good pic of the dome).
** The gripping is great! I tried it barefoot, and to be honest, I will continue to do so. Sure, it can get dirty, not sure of the best way to clean it? but that's the price you pay for any gripping surface.
** they included some basic exercises but LOL, I'm working on simply balancing on the board. I can feel it in my calves, somewhere under my belly fat (lol) .
** I'm HAPPY I do not have to worry about adding air to it.

My AARP magazine had a recent article on the importance of having good balance as you age so I've added balance exercises to my daily routine. I bought this balance board to make these exercises more fun and also to stash it right in front of the TV to remind me to get up and move.

My already good balance is increasing steadily. What's also cool is that this balance board comes with a series of exercises that work other parts of your body by increasing your use of your core muscles throughout your routine. I feel less like a couch potato (tho I do love my netfix series!) because my Balance Board is keeping my body busy, too! Great product.

I use this balance board every day. I weigh 230+ and have no problem using it. I use on on carpet, so I do have to move it around so I don't wear out a spot. I wouldn't trust myself on a hard floor. I got it for my SI joint dysfunction. Works great for me.

Appears well made. like the wood. It seems to work ok but since my first review I have discovered that the bottom plastic ball is off center by about 1/2 inch

This is an amazing yet simple board to help me after my ACL surgery. Granted, it's months past (follow your doctor's orders). I figured it would be so simple to do. NOT. This really is a training tool. Very well built. Great designed. Challenges you. I would highly recommend this to benefit your work out or sports performance

Trying to get my core into shape with this and it's a balance board with a stiff plastic dome on the bottom. The circular part is made of wood, so where it doesn't have the grip tape is getting dirty and not easy to clean. But at least it's getting my balance back. Because we have hardwood floors, we placed it on a small thick carpet so it wont' damage our floors. Probably should have bought one that would be good on hardwood. but it was an impulse buy with the Lightning Deals. Everyone in the family now uses it to balance or do the exercises they provided.

I bought this balance board because I used one in physical therapy for my knees and it helped. It's well made and does the work I expected it to do. I would recommend that older people use on a carpeted surface because, until you get used to it, it tends to spin around on a hard floor and you need to be holding on to something to keep your balance. I'm happy with this purchase!

Very sturdily made and good to use. I think it is doing good for a heavy, older woman with great need to strengthen core muscles :)

Great board. My physiotherapist told me this is very close to Bosu ball. I tried both and if money wasn't a factor I would have bought the Bosu ball. But this is still a great board. It's lighter, cheaper and much more compact than a Bosu. I bought one for my father as well. It feels solid. One can achieve important angles before the board touches the floor. Large enough for my feet (43-44 EU, 9.5 US).
I definitely recommend it.
