Inexpensive is it’s only real advantage
on June 26, 2018
The one and only “pro” that this mop has over the Twist n Shout is perhaps the spinning basket, and that has everything to do with cosmetics rather than function. The “cons” are everything else. First that stupid nub in the bucket. The mop can only rinse out by spinning in one direction, which allows dirt to hide in the strands, but the worst thing is that you have to align the mop just right or it won’t spin at all, which wastes time. The other bad thing with this one (I’ve had 2, so this isn’t a fluke) is that the mop head has plastic that keeps the mop handle from being able to move freely into the proper angle for use. You have to force it upright each time you want to rinse, and then force it to a slant to mop. In order to fix that I used a saw and cut off the unnecessary bulk of the ends (which worked, but who needs that?).
I added pictures of this one to show the bucket nub. For some reason I can only load 1 photo or I’d show you the part I had to cut off the mop. T&S mop has a plastic rather than aluminum spinner, but functions exactly the same and has none of the issues of this one. This one is inexpensive but it’s also cheap. If you can afford to buy up, there are better options.
