These things are built like a tank.

Heavy, thick stainless steel with mechanical joins (no welds). You could use one for self-defense, and still have the other left over for grilling.

The metal is even polished. It is very clear that this was a labor of love for an obsessive individual.

I can't imagine how they could even be improved, which is amazing to me because I can almost always find something to pick on. Even the price (at the time of this writing) is extremely reasonable.

Highly recommended. You will not be unhappy with this purchase.

Used 3 days straight. High heat for pizza, high heat for steak and slow a low today for ribs. Built like a tank and I had them glowing twice, and 6 hour long burn today. No deformation at all. The angles that they used to form the back with are slightly different from the rounded shape of the Weber. So they don't nest as tight to the kettle, but it is negligible and my drip pan still fits snug. Recommend easily.

Oh heck yeah, these are nice! I want to point out something not already discussed. In the product photo, you can see tabs where the baskets are connected. Originally, I assumed they were bent and affixed that way. Actually they are 2 separate peices, connected by tabs. It's not because it's cheaply made, but rather to allow for metal expansion when the baskets are hot. If they were one piece, or welded, they would warp. As for the quality, I agree with all the other reviews. These are absolutely worth the additional cost. You'd be foolish to buy something less.

These are perfect! I was so excited to see this product available. I cook on my Weber kettles at least three times a week and needed a better, longer lasting solution for charcoal baskets. These fit perfectly in my kettle and held a full chimney of coals with ease. I love that they are stainless so I won't had to replace them for a long time.

To put it simply, these are pure quality. I've had my Weber performer grill for about almost ten years now and I've purchased at least 6 sets of weber baskets over that time. Hopefully with these beauties, all that is a thing of the past. I'm sure these will last for a long, long time. I don't know why these hadn't been available before. Thanks!!!

I was quite simply dazzled when I received this product better than I expected heavy duty and polished to an almost mirror like shine.
Shame to get them dirty but at least stainless will probably outlive me....
I guess I could buy another pair just to show off......

These charcoal baskets are amazing ! Thick, heavy gauge stainless steel AND shiny as can be ! Yes, they cost twice as much as the Weber version but there is no comparison in the construction quality. Weber's are thin "aluminized" steel and these baskets are thick stainless steel. I wish I had discovered these years ago ! Impressive quality.

Yep, these are built much heavier than are Weber's charcoal baskets. I was pleasantly surprise at how sturdy these are. Now, I wonder why they cannot make them as one solid piece (well, two solid pieces, since they come in pairs). Really, what is the benefit of their coming apart? Why are manufactured so they come apart when you pick them up and clean them?

Now, if you really want a HEAVY DUTY charcoal basket (one that you can bring into the afterlife with you), check out this guy on eBay who makes them out of welded steel plate. Now, those are heavy duty!

Just received these and though I won't use them until the weekend I am pleased with the weight and quality of these baskets. Nice and heavy. Look much better than the image shows.Twice as much $ as the cheap ones and the reason will be obvious when you open them. These are 304ss as opposed to aluminum coated steel. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. I did. Amazon will once again accuse me of affiliation with product or distributor, never mind the hundreds of fake reviews found everywhere.

In an online shopping word full of cheap junk, these clearly were built with longevity in mind. I bought a new 26 inch Weber kettle and ordered these to go with them because I know how poor the Weber baskets are (see photos). FYI, the baskets shipped with the 26 inch kettle as the same size as the 22 inch kettle.

As you can see in the picture the heavy duty basket is nearly twice the weight of the Weber basket. They feel extremely solid especially compared to the Weber that can be described as flimsy at best.

The only thing noticeable is the the heavy duty baskets are definitely smaller compared to the Weber baskets. They are a half inch shorter and narrower. This might not seem like a lot but the heavy duty baskets fit inside the Weber baskets.

This won’t stop me from giving them five stars because I’m expecting to get a ton of use on them. I will update this review in the future.
