These rings DO NOT fit the advertised instant pot sizes. I use a LUX60 and finally needed to replace my ring after a year or so of very heavy use due to some slight leakage. These rings are considerably larger than my very heavily used ring and the instant pot WILL NOT seal under any circumstance. Not cool. Now, dinner tonight is in limbo while I write this review and order ORIGINAL instant pot rings. Bah humbug.
I was given my Instapot as a present and used it regularly at least twice a week for over a year, until it suddenly refused to pressurize. I was devastated! A little troubleshooting, and I finally figured I'd try a new seal before tossing it and buying another one. Because yes, I was definitely going to buy another one. Replaced the seal with one of these, tossed a few cups of water in there for a few minutes, and BAM, glorious pressure!!
I made a bone broth in my instant pot which left a strong fatty odor in the instant pot's lid's ring. I tried everything to get it out (soaked in warm soapy water, soaked in water and vinegar, used the steam function of the instant pot twice, soaked in water and baking soda). Thankfully the rings are inexpensive so I bought a couple extras. These arrived very quickly and are perfect for my IP.
We have an IP DUO60 Instant Pot which we use at least once a week. The pot is a life saver and is very simple to use and clean up! I remove and clean the seal after each use so I figured a new seal was needed as I'm sure this one will soon show wear. These seals are duplicates of the one in my pot!!
These rings caused my instant pot to explode. They are not instant pot brand so buyer beware. I thought maybe I had put it on wrong bc it was not sealing, but I tried several times and it failed each. This is very dangerous and I'm thankful I was not standing too close, otherwise would have suffered sever burns from the hot steam.
A necessity to have on hand when you have an Instant Pot, The gasget rings tend to absorb flavors, so you need one for Sweet and one for savory cooking I've marked mine with different colored markers to distinguish between the two, but a sniff would reveal which was which.
Anyone who has an Instant Pot knows the silicone sealing ring absorbs all sorts of interesting odors. Even after soaking my original ring, I could still smell it when opening the cupboard that holds my IP. These are inexpensive enough to replace at more frequent intervals.
