Anyone who has a Diaper Genie or similar diaper disposal system knows that eventually the smell can start to escape and invade the surrounding area. To combat that, you need these carbon filters. Just as a dry sponge soaks up water, kitty litter can soak up an oil spill, charcoal can absorb foul smells around the house, so too will these carbon filters soak up that retched stench that came from your sweet baby's posterior region. Keep these on hand ready to swap out when the old one can no longer soak up anymore scent.

A note to those new parents with fairly new babies who don't think the diapers they are changing smell that bad yet...just wait till they are on solid food diets. Even with a healthy diet, void of processed foods, GMO's, etc, you are still going to be shocked at what stench can come from that sweet innocent child. I love my toddler, but can do without those smells, and these filters help keep them from my mind.

We’ve owned a Diaper Genie Elite (the original) for a couple years now - (used prob about 6 months with our now 4 year old when he was in diapers and have been currently using full time with our now 14 month old) and I either forgot or didn’t realize that there was a spot for a carbon filter on the lid. Our pail recently just started smelling straight up awful and with a little reading rediscovered the filter feature so I ordered these to replace the spent one in our pail and WOW, I seriously can’t believe the difference this little pouch makes! When I open the pail to throw in a soiled diaper in there is still a bit of smell but once the lid is shut the entire unit no longer radiates stench (I actually can’t believe how long our original filter lasted us!!) These are A MUST if you own a Diaper Genie (if you have an older model I’d try taping the edges of the filter to the inside lid of your unit).

Lately I started smelling a very bad smell at the bathroom after every diaper change & after inspection I knew our diaper genie needs a filter replacement.
We had the Genie playtex for 22 month & never had any problems with the smell, so the filter stayed good for a really long time.
As soon as we received the filter & I replaced the old one the bad smell disappeared & the bathroom now smells great again.
It's so easy to change the filter ... you just open a small box , remove the old filter, replace it with the new one, close the box ... & you are done.

Words cannot begin to say how thrilled I am with the diaper genie and these filters. As a new parents, I found my husband throwing away soiled diapers in the normal trash. Being there is only the three of us, we don't need to empty the trash can but twice a week. Each morning I'd come downstairs and wonder what the awful smell was. Then I realized what my husband was doing-ignoring the diaper genies and using the trash!

Once he realized the smell diapers give off after a day (oh man are they awful!!) he was quick to change his habit. The diaper genie with the help of the filter and diaper genie bags completely mask EVERY smell! We fill the genie to the rim before we empty it and ever once had an issue with odor. We now own three for all the different areas of the house we change our little one at.

I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase! If you are like us and don't need to empty your trash everyday, invest in this system! It is worth every penny!!

I was really hoping that these Filters would work as advertised to help control the odor of the diaper genie, but unfortunately I have not noticed any difference. At first I was hoping that the issue was due to the age of the filter I installed, as I had accidentally left the filter that came with the diaper genie still in its wrapper, and forgot that it was even there. My daughter is now 14 months old, and I re-discovered the filter when changing bags and opened it for proper use. When it made no difference in the odor of the pail, I chalked it up to the age of that filter and ordered some new ones, but alas these fresh filters have still let me down. The smell from the diaper genie is just as bad as it always was, even with trying out 2 filters at once. I'm disappointed, but at least they were not very expensive and were shipped with Prime. I will be looking elsewhere for something to help control the odor.

Don't waste your time or money on buying these off Amazon. They didn't work. At. All. When we received these, there were more in the package than originally described. The box was kind of beat up. So it looked like perhaps they had fallen out or someone had shoved more in there? Didn't think too much of it, maybe a bonus? Anyway, these didn't do anything to help curb the diaper genie odors at all. Not sure if they were old or stale or what. We ended up buying more from a big box store. Those worked fine...

These do there job. The best way to know these work is this. You get the new diaper genie, set it up and it's perfect. No smells no mess. After about two months you start to smell something and a week later it's just putrid. These little bags do there job. Replace the bag and kazam the smell is gone. That's how I know they work.

I'm not even sure why I keep buying these. I don't believe they work as well as they should. I had the diaper genie elite for two years. It started to smell so bad, even when empty. I replaced it with a different genie, the shorter kind with the fashion sleeves, and I still have issues with smell. The compartment that holds these was lost among the dirty diapers about year after first use and no replacements are on Amazon. I just threw these in the bottom and taped one to the top. I even tried adding a stick up air freshener and that did nothing to help. I do not recommend.

We purchased this to go with our diaper genie, and I can honestly say that I haven't noticed an odor coming from the diaper genie whatsoever. Her rooms smells just like any other room in the house, despite the fact that we change all of her diapers in her room. Set-up was easy, and I just simply tossed these in the bottom of the diaper genie and haven't had a problem since. She's almost 4 months now, so even if I had to purchase new ones every four months, it would still be worth it to me.

this product was delivered quickly and I like having a refill tray for my son's nursery because the diaper genie stinks. This is the same stuff they sell at the store and I get it delivered to the house <3 win!
