We have two graco extend-to-fit models and love them. We wanted one more car seat for grandma's vehicle, but couldn't justify spending as much for a third model. After lots of research, we discovered that this model also does extended rear facing (up to 50lbs, like the graco).
After reading all of these amazon reviews, I was nervous about the quality and installation. I do feel like there are some parts that are cheaper quality compared to the graco e.t.f, most specifically the lever to raise the height adjustment on the seat. It is a two handed job, as it doesn't slide as easy. Installation, however, was a breeze. Same time as with the graco (My husband and I do these in tandem, he pushes down and I tighten the latch belt. Simple, minutes.).

Our son likes the seat, grandma feels like it's easy to use. One other bonus, that I think is worth the trade-offs from the graco, is that this model becomes a booster to 100lbs unlike the graco etf.

This is perfect for that secondary or tertiary vehicle, as it is literally the only one you will ever need... 5-100lbs. Wow.

We love this seat, i'll say that first. Some of the negative reviews are helpful, but not worth avoiding this seat. For the price, it's the most cushioned seat out there. Baby has never been uncomfortable in it. Our only two issues have been our car (mazda cx-5) makes it so that i have to have a towel under the front of the seat (as recommended by the manufacturer) to make it level. The other is tightening the belt: when the seat is rear-facing we pull the shoulder straps from behind to tighten then pull on the actual tightening strap between her legs. I actually like that it is tough to move the straps, seems safer. I imagine it will be tougher when she's forward facing (can't reach behind for the straps), but maybe it will be easier to get leverage when it's that way.

I absolutely love love love this carseat! The extended rear facing is my favorite part. This is the only carseat my daughter has ever had. I love that you dont have to take apart the whole carseat when your child grows(except in the new born stage). All you have to do is loosen straps a tad, push the button in and pull up. It is machine washable and ridiculously easy to take apart and but back together. Its easy to install. Amazon has really great deals on this carseat all the time, so if its not under $150 check back everyday until its a price you can live with.

My son still fit in his infant seat but he started HATING car rides and would fight us when we'd try to load him up into his seat. We decided to switch him to a convertible seat to see if it made any difference and it has been awesome since! We drive an '04 GMC Sierra extended cab and this fits in the back perfectly with plenty of room to spare and our seats can push all the way back without running into this seat. It's very padded and seems very comfortable. I love that it has cup holders, even though I don't allow my son to drink or eat in the car, we put little toys in the cup holders for him and it keeps him busy. The head rest fits his head perfectly so that when he falls asleep his head doesn't slump forward or side-to-side. My husband installed this seat and did say it was kind of a pain compared to the infant seat, so hopefully we won't have to take it out for any reason! I've also had some trouble with the strap that you pull to tighten the straps, it is extremely hard to pull and I actually have to go around the back and pull the shoulder straps from the back and then pull on the tightening strap simultaneously or I can't get it to budge. It's kind a pain in the rear, but I've also gotten used to it as we've had this seat for a couple of months now. Overall I'm very happy with it for the price we paid!

I LOVE this seat. EXCEPT for the straps. They are so incredibly hard to tighten and loosen. It really is a safety hazard and should not be sold this way. I have to pull with all of my might to get them to tighten down the way they should. If this were a grandparent or someone older, it would be impossible for them to get them tight enough to be safe. I wouldn't trust anyone but me strapping him in with these straps. If the straps were better I would buy another one of these seats. The 50 RF limit is amazing and it is super comfy for my little tiny guy and he never complains about being in it and falls asleep a lot of the time. I contacted amazon about the strap issue and they are sending me another one free of charge and told me if I have the same problem I can send it back for a refund. Amazons customer service is amazing. We bought a second seat yesterday and I had to buy one in person to make sure this strap issue does not happen again. I've heard this issue is not with every one of these seats and im praying it doesn't happen with the new one being sent.

Bottom line: The strap issue should be fixed and the ones like mine should be pulled from all shelves. If this issue were fixed I would buy another in a heartbeat!

I love these carseats. My 2 year old has been in hers since 6 months old I love it so much I bought the same one for my son. They are nicely padded so my daughter has been in it for long car trips 6+ hours with no complantes. I love that it rear faces up to 50 pounds other seats are 35 or 40. The price for this seat is not outrages like other seats that are 200+ and this seat is a 3 innone so it grows with ur child up until they need a backless booster! I feel confident that my children are safe in these seats and that's most important. The only thing I would say that could be a negative for soneine is The color on the seat I order for my son is diffrent then the picture advertised, its more of a green blue color not the lite blue shown, but that's alright because I like the color the seat is better than the picture.

Been using this for about 2 weeks and there's really not anything negative that I can say. It was easy to install, easy to adjust to my toddler's size, I feel like its secure in the car, and that my little guy is safe in it. He enjoys riding in it too. I love the fact that I can keep him turned around until 50 pounds. I plan to keep him backwards as long as possible! The style is great too. This is obviously the least important feature, but I was a little bummed that the patterned gray part is only on the little baby add-ons. Once he outgrows the inserts it will just be plain black and gray, kind of a bummer because the gray pattern looks really sharp.

Love it! The seat came already assembled, which was GREAT! It's very easy to adjust
. I love being able to latch the harness out of the way when putting my child into the seat. Avoids alot of fumbling and searching.
It is very padded and cushioned! I feel bad about making him ride in the old seat now that we have this one! I feel confident my son will be comfortable on long car rides in this seat.
This seat gives me a sense of security and saftey. It seems to have protection everywhere. I especially like the padding around my little ones head and neck. The harness protecters are very soft and comfortable, eliminating irritation on the neck from the straps.
The harness is alot easier to use than some other models we've tried. Everything snaps together quickly . This is an awesome feature because my little one doesn't always sit still while being strapped in.
Also installs easily in the car.

The only "negative " thing I can say about it so far, is that he seemed to get a little sweaty in it. Could just be that it's hot out, but we may need a cooling mat. Will report back on that when we address it.

Overall, its easy to use and I feel that my son is well supported and safe in this seat.

I can not describe how much I love this carseat. I bought it because of all the safety features, but it has changed my son (and MY) life! Before I purchased the Safety First Grow N Go EX Air car seat, I would stress out just thinking about having to put my son in the car. He absolutely HATED his infant carrier! I thought it was just being in the car or just being strapped in; however, that wasn't the case! He hardly ever fusses in the car now. He takes his naps and then will wake up playing with his toys...I do wish they had toys to secure to the seat but we make do. I totally recommend this car seat!!
