It is the greatest well made network cable that I have ever seen(I use Belden Belkin AMP before), This cable has a double shield inside and each pair has its own shield, so that makes it total 3 shield.
So the wire is CAT7 standard, and the most important thing is the shield of the wire is welded together with the shield of the RJ-45 connector.
(There were many brand that did not wild them which causing the shield to be completely useless)

For thoes that think the cable is too hard, I can tell you if a CAT7 cable is soft and easy to band, there is a high chance that the cable is not CAT7 even not CAT6, they both should have some internal structure which make them almost impossible to be soft.

I love using a direct connection to my router rather than going wireless because it gave a HUGE boost to my NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro Home Media Server which is in a different room of the basement than where the router is. Now, all the media streaming from the SHIELD TV is as smooth as can be. I chose a Cat7 cable to future-proof my setup for several years.

If you're paying for high-speed Internet service, direct connect is the way to go.

I love this Cat7 cable, it is awesome! It is very well made, nice and thick cable, clicks into the Ethernet slots really good. Probably one of the best basic cables I've run across. Would highly recommend upgrading your old Ethernet cable (Cat5 or Cat6) to this one. I've already bought another and will probably replace every cable with one of these. Nice job Amazon, really good cable and excellent price.

The 25ft cable works great at 1Gbps speed.
The ping test, as well as the large file transfer test, did not show any signal deterioration compared with a 3ft CAT7 cable.

I refuse to pay high costs for cables anymore and Amazon Basics have always worked for me. I'm pulling around 300 Mbps down and 30 up on speedtest.net which what I pay for using these cables.

Appears to be high quality, works as expected. Only one very minor nit: I thought it was white from the photos, but actually it is light gray, if that matters to you. (The product description and the box don't mention a color, and the technical description incorrectly says "red".) As others mentioned, it is a little stiff, but that is to be expected of a Cat7 shielded ethernet cable. I've purchased several "Amazon Basics" brand products, and have never been disappointed.

It's gray, not ivory (which is the color I see on my screen). Light gray. Nice, but I was hoping it would blend into my wall (which is more ivory).

I really only use internet for Hulu, not gaming or anything. This cable seems to work well so far... I haven't noticed any difference in speed from my last one... my old cable was about 20 years old (and short and blue). There is no problem with speed- I'm just stating that I don't see a difference.

I like that this one is extra long and it works well.

I changed from DSL internet service to fiber optic internet which meant that my modem is further from my entertainment system. I previously had purchased this cable in a 3 foot length & had been using it for several years with no problems at all. Reception has been great. Video quality has always been excellent when watching Amazon video even though I did not have the fastest level of DSL you could purchase. I now need a 15 foot cable. I again purchased 2 of these cables. Yes they are a little stiff & less pliable, but from my point of view that would be a plus as it should have better shielding against interference & you don't have to worry about the cable being damaged easily. Video quality & wireless internet connection are all performing flawlessly.

Looks to be true CAT7 construction (thick and rigid cable) with good end connectors. As usual with AmazonBasics, it is the best value.

This is a nice heavy cable which so far has stayed plugged in. I get no "interference" when it touches the cables for other peripherals either. It is a bit stiffer than I am used to which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. If is holds up well I will try other AmazonBasics products. The last RJ45 Cat7 cable I had was from a "competitor", was much more expensive and did not hold up at all. So I decided to try the AmazonBasics product. This is a good quality cable and it works well. No dropped connections or data.
