SECOND UPDATE: I contacted Amazon prime and they were very kind - told me to keep or discard the second product, and they would send me a replacement. They ensured me the replacement would finally be the correct product (new packaging, expiration date over a year away), and GUESS WHAT... for the THIRD time i received the OLD product!!! I am now stuck with THREE bags of old, nearly expired cat food. I'll be ordering elsewhere.

UPDATE: I received my replacement order, and IT'S THE SAME OLD PACKAGING WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE TWO MONTHS AWAY!!! Obviously they are trying to get rid of their old product with old packaging. Now i have to return a SECOND product. I will be ordering elsewhere moving forward.

The first time i ordered this, it was great. The expiration date was over a year away, and my cat loved the food. This time around, not so much. I received a product with different packaging (looks like its old packaging) and the expiration date is 2 months away. Unbelievable. They probably thought they could just get away with sending me the old crap. I returned immediately and have placed a replacement order, hopefully they'll send me the NEW product this time.

My 12 year old tabbies were getting a bit too round around the middle and the vet suggested I try changing up their food. I initially tried a very expensive, all-protein brand that had an ingredients list out of an Atkins-Diet handbook. I figured it would be great. Turns out, not so much. The cats loved it, but even with their portions well-controlled, the weight only increased. It wasn't until I changed to the Nutro Weight Loss formula last year that I began seeing results. All of my cats lost a few pounds each and their activity increased accordingly (and I'm happy because this stuff is about $20 less per bag than the all-protein stuff was).

My cats seem to love it. When I was changing them over from another brand, I was sneaky and yelled TREATIES! and tossed a handful onto the kitchen floor like I do with treats.

That worked for about three days before they caught on and got suspicious.

But by then I was already mixing this in with their old food. No tummy problems, and we think their fur is feeling softer than it used to. Hard to say if it's helping with their weight yet or not.

I have a couple of cats with very sensitive stomachs. I've been feeding various Nutro grain-free cat foods for about a year and it has made a world of difference. They had daily bloody diarrhea and nothing the vet did or the breeder did worked. Changing the foods worked well. Virtually no more problems, except a little diarrhea perhaps once a month.

This food is amazing for my picky eaters. We have 3 cats and our oldest seems to have a lot of digestive issues including bloody stools which our vet could not figure out. When we switched to this food not only did she have less issues digestively but we stopped seeing blood in her stool. She has begun to lose weight and now has your energy level back and loves to play. Are other two cats seem to really like this food and actually stay at their bowls for a while to eat. Plus I love it there's less chemicals and real ingredients and the dog seems to agree as well.

I have an obese cat, so I have been searching for a lower calorie food that she might actually eat. Not all “weight control” food is the same. She had been eating a diet food that was ridiculously high in calories. No wonder she was still gaining weight. I happened upon this food and I was pleased that the calorie count was so low (I was looking for food under 300 kcal). She seemed to like it OK (though it took her a minute), but after awhile I noticed it was making her slightly constipated. Not completely blocked, but she was having difficulty going. Needless to say, she is now off this food (I found a 9lives food at 297 kcal and she’s pooping like a champ).

This food might work for your cat. Mine liked to eat it, but it just wasn’t worth the trouble on the back end (if you know what I mean). Just keep an eye on your cat, really anytime you change her food.

As a first time buyer of the Nutro brand, I am impressed. My kitties love it, and i was surprised to find the kibble comes in little disk shapes instead of those tiny identical round shapes most other brands come in. I like this disk shape because I feel the kitties can grab the food easier without having to smush their faces into it. The disk shape allowes food edges to stick up and jut out.

I love that this food is GMO free. Will likely make this my go-to brand from now on.

After getting tired of big store mark-ups (PetCo, Petsmart, ETC) I decided to try my hand at ordering my cats food through Amazon for a more affordable price. Being a Prime member (I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!), my cat's food was delivered earlier than even expected! To give you a picture, my cat resembles Garfield, and yes he does like lasagna...and just about everything else HAHA. So Nutro was my go to for getting his weight under control as well as reducing the grating sounds of hairballs in the middle of the night. For one, he loves the food! The ingredients are wholesome with very few fillers, no corn!! I have also noticed with the reduction in fillers, he seems to fill up on the food more quickly rather than woofing it down all in one sitting. Thanks to Nutro, I'm one happy cat mom!

I should've checked the ingredients. We switched to this flavor after years of using Nutro chicken and rice because one of our cats has bad allergies and we were trying to test if chicken was the trigger as it's apparently a common allergy for cats. Chicken meal is the #2 ingredient in this "duck and potato" food!!

Needless to say we were mad that a premium brand we trusted would have chicken in their duck food. It was a complete waste of both money and time. We've since found Blue Buffalo duck and potato in which duck really is the only source of protein.

Got it for a cat who's a picky eater but eats a lot. He approves!
