I have a Maltese/Shih Tzu who is about 15 pounds. If you have a small dog, then you probably know that they inevitably have teeth problems.

I had Timber's teeth cleaned at the vet in conjunction with his neuter surgery since he was already being put under. A few months later, long story short, he ended up with a broken jaw after rough-housing with my German Shepherd. He was on soft food for three months, and of course the tartar build-up came right back during that time.

After a check-up at the vets office, they tried to sell me teeth cleaning again. There was no way I was going to subject my little guy to being put under again (he was under for 3-1/2 hours for the jaw surgery, plus was under for the neuter and initial teeth cleaning a few months prior).

I decided to give these a try to see if they would help before doing anything more drastic and I couldn't believe the results after a couple of weeks. Nearly all the tartar was gone and his breath had improved temendously.

I really like these, because although the big ones I give to my German Shepherd are very hard (as they need to be), these "teenie" ones are just a little bit soft and perfect for my little dog - especially with the jaw injury.

One tip is to find the "add-on" version of these which actually saves you a lot of money if you're placing an order for other Amazon things. Definitely way more affordable than the big box pet stores.

I have 3 small dogs ranging in weight from 11-15 lbs. I purchased the bursting blueberry flavored Teenie dental treats & my dogs love these treats. They get 1 most nights before bed. I find that their breaths aren't as offensive but in addition to these dental treats I also home cook for them. I think the combination of dental treats & home cooking is helping with their breaths. My only gripe is that a bag of 43 Teenies only last 2 weeks if I would give them to my dogs daily. I wish these bursting blueberry flavored dental treats were available in a larger size & grain free like the original flavored dental treats which I have seen in boxes containing 130.

I have two little rescue mutts. One is a natural chewer and we generally keep her teeth squeaky clean with Nyla bones, raw beef bones... The other is not! When I first adopted her, her breath was...not as dainty as she is. And after her first dental cleaning at the vet, I spent the better part of a year buying everything on the market, trying to find something that she would gnaw on, to help combat the build-up. But, being the princess she is...she doesn't think chewing is ladylike and turned down everything I gave her. I try and get a toothbrush in her mouth, but she hates it and fights it so much, and since she came from abuse in her prior life, I try and keep her distress minimal

At the holidays, I came across a small bag of the blueberry greenies on sale at my local pet store, and thought "well, if she won't eat them, I know my other baby will" and tossed them in the cart to put in her stocking. From the moment we opened the bag, her nose perked up, her tail was wagging her whole body, she grabbed the greenie and took off! Normally, she'd "bury" my latest attempt in pillows and snarl if my other dog came near - even if she didn't want it, she didn't want her sister to have it. But to my (delighted) shock...she immediately started chewing and it was GONE in a minute! She, in no uncertain terms, LOVES them!!! They are now a regular part of our bedtime potty routine - after they come in, they run immediately to the laundry room, and every couple of days, they get a blueberry greenie. Her breath is MUCH better, the tartar is MUCH improved and we may even be able to stretch her yearly cleanings to every 18 months or two years. I'm thrilled beyond words! Please don't ever discontinue these - or I'll be buying a lifetime supply and renting a storage locker for them!

Although I have not personally tried these greenies myself, I think I can confidently say my lhasa loved them. He normally gets the regular greenies but I opted for these to see if they would leave his mouth smelling a little fresher. They surprisingly did, not by a large margin but his mouth did smell slightly less dog-ish than usual, which I loved. They definitely come as advertised about the size of a mini sized candy bar (think snickers minis). Overall would probably purchase again.

I've used Greenies in the past and always wondered if they made a difference. Well, I recently moved, and in the move, could not locate our dogs Greenies. A few weeks went by and I really started to notice that her breath was getting pretty nasty.

We have paid to have her sedated and her teeth cleaned, so her teeth were not terrible, but I absolutely notice a difference when she is not eating her Greenies. They help with her breath, and her teeth do look cleaner.

So, why 4 stars? There are lots of treats out there that my dog will gobble up...but the only way we can get her to eat a Greenie is to make a game of it. I generally run around the house with it playing keep-away, then I toss it and run after it, making sure my dog gets to it first. That is the only way we have found that she will eat one. I wish Greenie could make a yummier treat that dogs will gobble up, but at least I can get my dog to eat them.

I have a white Pomeranian that has tear stains. I've been feeding her snacks with blueberries to help clear her liver and lighten her tears. These are the best of both worlds! The greenies that are so good for her breath and teeth, while having the blueberries she needs in her diet!!!

My boys absolutely love the blueberry flavor of these Greenie treats. They would eat more than the one a day they are allowed if they could. I just wish they came in larger, more economical bags. I buy three or four bags a month as it is, just feeding two dogs one treats a day each. That adds up very quickly! I'm hoping they are helping the dogs' dental health as well, which is why I started buying them. The vet said one of my dogs needed a tooth cleaning and I'm hoping I can avoid that by feeding him Greenies.

these were great. We had a huge German Shepard, but he was such a beauty and only a 1 /12 yrs. but very active. He could inhale those in one bite, and I could not even break the into. He loved them. we no longer have him for he just was to strong and big for my daughter and I to handle. The law officer had just lost his 13 yr. old one, and wanted him for training. We let them have him for we knew he would have the best of care always. They keep us up dated on how quick he is learning, and pictures.

I would recommend this product for any large dog owner.

Dog loves this Blueberry flavor, too. Greenies are pricey & here on Amazon they are well priced. I have set up on auto ship & both dog & I are happy as can be.
My tip: my dog is 80lb black Lab, the recommended Greenie size for his weight is BIG. Cost prohibitive & probably too much treat for every day. I buy him the Teenie size Greenies so he can have some daily as a treat. Whenever I leave him home for awhile, he gets 2 on his bed & knows I'll be back later. The 130 ct Teenie regular Greenies on Amazon runs around $27.
