My main reading genre is True Crime so it sometimes takes me a little longer to get in to other genres..but that wasn't the case with Naked Addiction!! The author, Caitlin Rother is an excellent True Crime author so I thought I would give this book a try! I was NOT disappointed! I liked the characters and the plot kept me guessing pretty much up to the end!
Another thing that I liked and don't see too often was at the end of the book there is a section titled "BOOK CLUB DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR NAKED ADDICTION" that were pretty thought provoking.

I liked the twists and turns in this books. Detective Goode's character was well developed-family of origin issues, the way he escapes his past, his Mommy issues, can't find his sister. A very cause and effect book for the last 40 years of excess in the US. I could totally relate to all characters in the book. Nicely done;)

I loved the character 'Ken Goode'. Weird that he so much control over his superior.
Liked the story line. Good flow.

Good story and I liked the way it kept moving along with all the new characters. Never boring and always interesting to say the least. I love Caitlin's writing style!

Not terrible but writing was inconsistent and a bit immature. I would recommend simply because of price. It filled some time on the train and held your interest till the end.

A good mystery novel set in San Diego. Good story plus accurate description of San Diego and its neighborhoods, the beach bar culture and surfing.

Rother plots a good story that has a steady pace and enough suspense to keep the reader's attention. My one major critique is that while Goode, the main character, was certainly developed, he didn't quite come off the page. Rother is very good at characterization such that it is clear to the reader that Goode is determined and confident, but with enough doubt to cause him some missteps, yet there is just a little something missing, but I'm not sure I can quite identify what it is. Still, a Goode and entertaining read and well worth your time.
