When other manufacturers - and retailers - are charging nearly $30 for a similar cable, you need to really evaluate why they're doing this. I'll give you a hint: It's because they count on you not knowing where else to get quality cables.

I purchased this cable as a replacement for a shorter cable. The longer cable was used in a hard-to reach situation where I had to previously place an Apple TV under a TV cabinet. Not ideal, which is why this cable came to the rescue. It seems durable, but it's also flexible as well.

Highly recommended to get your ethernet cables here and not at a big box retailer!

Good cable. Just be careful as it won't fit into some devices as the plastic cover is too thick on the connection side. Ran into this trying to plug it into a Norton Core - which has very close tolerance where cables go in. Had to get another cable with a flat, thin, cover.

I purchased this cable because I recently moved to a new apartment and decided to connect my smart TV directly to the modem instead of wireless. The cable I received is in new condition. I placed the modem in the same stand as the TV, therefore, I did not require a cable longer than 5 feet. I thought about the 3 feet cable, but noticed (after the purchase of the 5 feet one) that it was going to be too short. If you are wiring devices close to each other, unless they are located next to each other and in an unmovable position, you should get the 5 feet cable or longer. A short cable would not have been enough for my connection and to allow some reorganization of the devices in the stand. After connecting the cable, I started testing the TV. I started streaming video (Amazon Prime Video, Woo Hoo!) and did not notice any lag in response and was streaming in High Quality. The price was good. I would recommend this to other buyers.

This is some of the thinnest Cat-6e I've used (a good thing) and I love the new snagless design (though it's not unique to Amazon branded cables) as it's much easier to release from tight spaces.

AmazonBasics tend to be bulky rather than svelte. But I really like their products. In terms of cables, extensive testing by the Wirecutter review website shows they are durable, braided and carry a fast signal. So if you don't mind a slightly larger look -- or if you have uncertain fingers and you'd like a more easy-to-use plug -- the AmazonBasics line of cable and plugs are a great choice.

Of course if you are looking for the Apple form-over-function kind of product, you might want to look elsewhere.

The cable is great and priced exceptionally. However this cable has a thick wrap around the connector which is visually appealing but very hard to work with when you are loading up a switch as the tend to take up too much space when docked on the port. Forcing them in is possible but they eventually begin to lean due to a lack of space. Once they start to lean removing them is very difficult. Keep this in mind if your loading up a network switch. I was working with a small 8 port Linksys switch and had quite a lot of difficulty adding after the first few and removing any of them. Still the cable is a great price especially considering that your local stores like target and Best Buy's are carrying less lengths of cable for two or three times the price.

We bought a second PlayStation so my wife and I could play Dragon Age Inquisition online together. One is in the living room, one is in the bedroom. The wifi had way too much lag even with the living room one wired into the router. So, along with a power-line network adapter (to go to the upstairs without drilling holes) and a couple of network switches anchored to the router via two 25ft versions of these cables, we can now use the bedroom PlayStation with wired networking, which eliminated a near-constant lag while gaming.

Even though it clearly says 50ft I wasn't prepared for how much cable that actually was but for the price I couldn't really argue much. Better to have too much than not enough right?

Well it works great but like any good cable it started instantly tangling itself the second I started taking it out the package. There much be some law in physics that dictates that cables must tangle again the second they begin the unravel but in the end I was able to straighten it and everything worked in the end.

This is the second cord I have bought that broke within 2 weeks. The first one was from a different company. Bought them for my son to hook his xbox directly in to Internet modem for faster speeds. They just stop working after
2 weeks.

These work great - in my file transfer tests, Amazon basics cable and a netgear gigabit switch vs. cat 5 and an older netgear switch? 2.7 seconds vs. 20 seconds. Pretty impressed. This was an mac pro tower and a new mac pro cylinder, transferring files from the tower's RAID 0 to the cylinder's internal drive.
