I really struggled giving this four stars. 4 stars means I like it. And I do. I genuinely like it. I don't like the prices. I hate the prices. I hate it enough to go back to chick pea/bean chips with a spicy chili flavor. So I'm doing that until the prices become more reasonable.

I loved having these chips to snack on or when I made a vegan soup I'd add these in like the little crispies you get from a chinese restaurant with a hint of soy sauce. That's an expensive soup but hey you get your protein and if you're dieting the satisfaction of a chinese soup! If money is no object #sparenoexpense I say go for these! They're the perfect snack food at 140 calories with a high pea protein content. If it's out of reach, go on slickdeals and set an alert for these chips. When they come down in price for us common folk I say stock up! There are 12 bags of chips which price at $2 per bag. I'd love to see this at a $1 per bag. YES - I'd def buy in bulk! For now it's vitacost pea protein smoothies and Angie's boom chicka pop popcorn bags from wegman's at $7 a case (24 p/case).

These protein chips have an appealing flavor and, until recently, were a good value. As of March 2015, however, the price has jumped by more than 25%. They are now priced so high that I will look elsewhere for healthy snacks.

Not sure why so many people are surprised that Spicy Chili flavor chips would have a spicy after taste. The after taste people talk about is because this is made with red chili peppers...which leave a spicy aftertaste. I was expecting that when I bought them, and so should anyone else who has had real red peppers before. I do question why there is sugar on these (maybe to cut down on the spice?), but it's minimal, especially compared to other protein snacks (it's only 2g). I love these and they are a staple in my weekly snack rotation.

Ok, to start out with, these taste and look nothing like chips - if you're looking for a good CHIP kind of option, then I would recommend checking out PopChips... But as a chip-like snack, I have to say I love these things...

They basically look kind of like thick Freetos, and have a similar kind of texture... Still crunchy, but not really in a flat-thin chip kind of way. They're made from peas, and knowing that I guess maybe I can taste it a bit, but to me they taste more like your normally kind of chip filling (corn, presumably), then like eating dehydrated peas. ;) I've only ordered the Spicy Chili ones, since I like spicy food, and while they wouldn't even hit mild on my heat-o-meter, they definitely have a bit of heat to them, and give some great flavor to what I assume would be a pretty bland affair otherwise.

All in all, a great healthy snack, and if you're looking to up your protein intake, there's probably no better option.

Upon first opening a packet of these "chips" I was a bit disappointed to find not crispy chip-like things, but rather crunchy cracker-like things. There is nothing wrong with crunchy cracker-like things, and particularly nothing wrong with THESE crunchy cracker-like things. It's just that the word "chips" on the packet set my expectations a certain way.

These "crackers" are in fact rather tasty. Very slightly spicy, a little bit salty, and a little bit sweet. As far as high protein snacks go, they're a very nice change of pace from my usual lineup of yogurt, protein bars, eggs, and/or meat in whatever form I happen to have on hand. They go rather well with a beer or a cocktail, which probably completely defeats the purpose, but whatever.

All in all, I definitely recommend these, and I hope the company comes out with some more flavors. Great product. Just not chips!

I really like this brand and wanted to introduce my brother to it since he likes healthier snacks as well. I ended up ordering this pack for him for Christmas and he seemed really pleased with it. I've personally had the bbq tomato flavor (loved it), the black pepper (loved it) and the sweet chili (can you guess loved it as well haha). I like the crunch and the flavor and with the bags I got ...they had a lot of the flavor dusted right on. Also if you're looking for a GF + Vegan snack then well this will be hard to beat.

Enjoyed the flavor, and surprised me as it felt somewhat filling compared to other low calorie protein snacks I've tried so far.
An example of my food for this day was:
Breakfast - is a shake mixed with Slim Fast powder, ON protein powder, and macrogreen.
Lunch - Had SimplyProtein Chips along with Quest Protein Chips.
(Above 2 meals netted me just under 600 calories with more than 60g of protein.)

Note - I'm saying this food is filling. I'm saying it is more filling than some other product which fall into the same category as this one.

Not giving it a 5-star review, as only an item which remove problem(s) from my life deserve such a rating.
This does not do that, but does comes close.

Having been recently diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, I needed to find low carb alternatives that would satisfy my desire for a crunchy snack. These are flavored with salt and pepper and are shaped like small brown Frito's corn chips. They're crunchy, flavorful and satisfying.

The nutrition breakdown is below:
Calories 140
Fat 4 g (No saturated or Trans-fat)
Cholesterol 0 mg
Sodium 640 mg
Carbohydrates 10 g (1 g of fiber and 1 g of sugar)

The advantages are that it is GMO free, vegan, low carb, soy free, Kosher, and gluten free, BUT it tastes great. The only negative is the amount of sodium and fat per serving which are higher than conventional potato or corn based snacks. Checking my blood sugar afterwards led to no bump in my usual levels.

This makes a great alternative to high carb potato chips.

It's so hard to find gluten free AND vegan snack foods. These don't have the texture of regular fat laden snack foods but they are still tasty and a nice compromise so I can have something crunchy with a sandwich. Few meat free products are this low in fat for the amount of protein you get. The salt and pepper flavor reminds me of french fries. The sweet chili flavor is also a favorite. Try them!

I tried these for the first time ...trying to get "healthier" snack products..... I wasn't expecting "chip" type of flavor, I was pleasantly surprised.
I was looking forward to a more of a "bite" with the "herb " Flavor.
They're not bad I will buy again, ( not often)
--------------------------------------------------------->"
CONS : they are a bit "EXPENSIVE" best to buy W/ amazon Subscribe and Save, and even then you're paying about $1.53 per ounce OR $1.77 "per bag" that is 1.16oz
PROS: Tasty if you're looking for a healthy alternative
