Don't buy at the inflated price
March 7, 2019
I bought these to try them out. They cost almost 2x as much as all the other sets, presumably due to price gouging of the early buyers.
They're the same as standard Regular Slinky tops (10 gauge) and Power Slinky bottoms (11 gauge), so if you can't find the Ultras for the same price as a standard Slinky pack, just buy a Regular and a Power for roughly the same price, mix the strings, and then you have some spare strings left over.
Hopefully the price will normalize back to the MSRP listed on Ernie Ball's website (which lists it as the same price as the other sets), because this is a nice, balanced set with easy to play high strings, but slightly chunkier lows for low chording.
