This is how the package arrived. Old batteries that are almost dead and the pre-opened package...

Just opened the container and checked voltages on several batteries and they were all low. Some as low as .25V rather than 1.5V. Checked another brand and they measured 1.7V. The others were lithium while these are alkaline. Don't know if that's the difference. Anyway seems these should measure at least 1.5V.

I ordered these batteries on 7/14/17. Thought they were ok until I changed batteries in my fire tv remote today and the device still said low battery with the new batteries. I am realizing now that it has been a bit hit and miss with these not lasting as long as others (I'm on the last one in the package already) and I wasn't sure if I had somehow mixed them with old batteries because it happened twice, but this is right out of the package. I cannot find any expiration or manufacture date on the package or batteries and I have never had this issue with other packaged batteries from Costco or other stores that have sat inside the house in a cabinet for several years before use. I ended up not saving any money purchasing these on Amazon and had to go out and get a new package today. Amazon is usually a great way to save money and so convenient but this was a disappointment.

I've been using these Energizer leak proof batteries for over a year now. I can finally say that these actually work. I used other brands of batteries, and one particular brand leaked battery acid inside my TV remote or they wouldn't last very long. These Energizer batteries last longer and don't leak battery acid. It's a win-win.

Are you looking for the longest lasting and most durable batteries out there? Look no further. These Energizer Max Premium batteries are, in my opinion, the best that you can presently buy. I trust them so much that I won't use anything else in the PDM that controls my son's insulin pump.

This is only a partial review. Part 1. I got exactly what I ordered as shown on the Amazon web site picture. I had read several reviews about Amazon shipping out batteries that were not what was pictured nor advertised as leak proof according to the shown packaging. I was lucky. The next review will be after I test EACH battery with a volt meter for the listed voltage (another problem with Amazon batteries).I will keep you folks posted.
