Heads-Up for Owners of Dogs Under 10 LBs
February 10, 2016
I'm writing this review to give parents of 1-9 lbs and 10-29 lbs dogs some information about this product. I've used the chewable tablets for a couple years but thought I would try the soft chews this time. The soft chews package says UP TO 60 lbs but the instructions on the back specifically start at 10 lbs. I phoned the manufacturer and they DO NOT recommend these soft chews for 1-9 lb dogs. For dogs 10-29 lbs they instruct 1 soft chew every other day. The manufacturer does not recommend giving half a chew every day because the ingredients in the soft chews are not guaranteed to be distributed evenly like they are in the chewable tablets. The possibly uneven ingredients (one-half with higher concentration and the other-half with lower concentration) can cause G.I. problems (vomit, diarrhea) in your furry kid.
So, don't buy the soft chews if you have a dog under 10 lbs, consider the chewable tablets. And if you have a 10-29 lbs dog, don't split the soft chew in half every day, utilize the every other day instructions.
So my 3 star review is only because the packaging is deceptive and I'm not able to use the product. I'll go back to the chewable tablets for my small dog so as to not experience G.I. issues.
