The list of ingredients makes this a very good choice for owners trying to feed better products to their beloved dogs. I came to Avoderm after doing a lot of research of natural ingredients, specially avoiding meat and chicken by products which I think they're absolutely awful. I'm sure that food quality is one of the main reasons so many dogs have been suffering from diabetes and cancer nowadays, so we as pawrents must learn to make the better choice in order to improve their quality of life.
I bought this for my 75lb Golden Retriever and he has loved it so far, we just subscribed to receive it every month, but I'm looking forward to try other Avoderm products as well because I know there are ones without grains and others that include Glucosamine and Chondroitin which are very useful for big dogs and specially dogs like Golden Retrievers that tends to suffer from joint pain.
Also, the avocado factor is great because contrary to common believe, avocado is a very healthy choice for dogs (and people!). I would recommend Avoderm to every dog owner, as well as warm them to stay away as far as possible from awful food like Pedigree, Purina, etc. We are responsible for our doggies health and quality of life, we should try very hard to protect them, specially if the price is not an issue since Avoderm is a very affordable option comparing it to Pedigree or Purina.

I got my dog from a shelter. He came with a list of skin and coat problems , mainly yeast . He was like a little roll of dough and allergic to life at times it seems. I tried a few different foods trying to find the one he would respond best too. He gets raw and home cooked foods but I also needed a quick meal for busy days and his breakfast. I love this food and he seems to return the sentiment 😁 Most of the yeast is gone ( he also gets baths and sprays for it but before the food change it only kept it from getting worse , not better like now ) , his coat went from patchy and feeling like wire to filled in and soft, he's gained weight ( he was way under weight and didn't gain before even with supplemental feedings with previous dry foods) and he has energy & is playful now and before he was just an extra rug . I will definitely keep buying this product.

I'm a complete convert to the Avoderm line of dog food - both dry and canned. My five dogs are thriving on it and love it. I'm using two versions of the dry kibble and two versions of the canned food with my pack of five dogs.

This lamb and rice is a pate style food yet you can clearly see the pieces of carrots and potatoes throughout each can. I divide up the can and mix with water and their dry food a few days a week. My dogs inhale their Avoderm dry or mixed with the cans and never leave a crumb. They have zero digestive problems and beautiful, soft coats.

My dog was on a prescription food ($$$$) for about six months. Tried several high-end foods but my Great Pyrenees' system was so sensitive that he couldn't handle any of them. Then a friend suggested that I match the fat, protein and fiber levels of the new food to the Rx food as closely as possible. Bought this Avoderm and transitioned him very slowly. He is doing great - not only is his stomach back to normal, but his coat is shiny and soft. I don't like that I have to order it online (it's not available in any local pet stores, including the "big box" pet stores). But with Amazon Prime it was delivered in two days, and as soon as I figure out how long a 30 lb bag will last, I'm switching to auto-delivery if it's available on Amazon.

I have two Aussies (one is a recent edition! ;) ) My older Aussie has had skin problems his whole life with flare ups every 2-3 months. I've tried everything: supplements, shampoos and conditioners, shots and steroids. Everything before AvoDerm had given him short term relief for his allergy caused dry skin and hot spots, popping back up as soon as it was out of his system. I switched him to AvoDerm about 5-6 years ago after his previous food (Purina brand) was recalled with a scary legal battle. I'm so glad I did and I'm KICKING myself for not discovering AvoDerm sooner! His coat is shiny and his skin is flake free year round. His vet is STILL floored at the difference this food has made for him. I'm terrified to feed my new addition anything but AvoDerm, haha. Especially considering that new Aussie came to us with Parvo. She wouldn't eat the prescription food or any of the home suggestions and it got to the point I was having to force feed her. This was the ONLY food she'd eat willingly & I owe AvoDerm that for saving her life. My dogs will always eat AvoDerm. :)

This is the absolute best dog food you can buy. My dog has had many, many health problems throughout his life and this food has made a significant different in his skin and coat as a result! As a puppy he had demodex (mange) and had little to no hair. We started him on the AvoDerm puppy food and his hair grew back in thick and soft. We switched to this formula as he aged and he has never eaten anything else. No stomach upset ever, the only problems we have is him eating it too quickly. Now he was diagnosed with an immune disorder which also affects his skin and causes him to break out in lesions throughout his body. AvoDerm really seems to help in keeping the rest of his coat healthy and soft. I have also worked for years as a vet tech and this is the only food we recommend to our patients. I cannot speak highly enough of this company! If your dog has skin problems, or doesn't have skin problems, AvoDerm can help giving them the softest, shiniest coat!

My dog was suffering from skin rashes and outbreaks weekly. Our veterinarian said it was allergies from most likely grass, pollen, etc. We did not think it was food related. After trying all sorts of things with no success, I decided to try this food to see if it would at least held ease the rashes and outbreaks, and comfort my dog a little bit. He has been eating this food for a month now, and has not had a single skin outbreak! I am shocked how much his skin has improved, and his itching and discomfort have severely decreased. Another benefit is how shiny and soft his coat has become. He is a mutt and has coarse, thick hair, and his coat feels so good now! Our pup still licks his paws and they are irritated at times, but this food has made a dramatic difference overall on his skin! Highly recommend at least trying this if your dog is suffering from any type of allergy!

First, let me say that my dog really likes this food. I purchased AvoDerm because I had heard it was an excellent dog food and didn't have any strange byproducts in it. My dog has not shown any skin allergies (she's been notorious for having itchy skin) and for that I'm grateful.
I give this food to her with added dry food and some veggies, though I have noticed that there are a few veggies already in the can. The shipping of the food was fast, except that when I received the case of food, there was a damaged can that was very hard to open. Don't know if that occurred in shipping or was sent that way to begin with. That is the only minor issue I have. Will continue to buy this premiun dog food.

I have heard many reasons why people don't think this is a good & healthy dog food but for my dog it has been fabulous. He likes the food & on top of that he had a terrible rash on his belly from the time he was 2 yrs old. It was a costly problem but we took care of him no matter the cost. We spoke to the vet about his rash & she thought it could be something at the dog park that was iratating his belly. We decided to switch his food (on the advise of our groomer) to a no grain food. A neighbor of mine was using Avoderm & so we tried it. Since he has been on this food he hasn't had 1 rash & his belly has cleared up...no more episodes & his coat feels great. I would recommend this to anyone. Very pleased with it.

My dog (black lab mix) is the star of the Bark Park- even the squirrels talk (vicious jealous rumors..lol) about how shiny and soft his coat is. Although it may seem pricey, my dog loves it and has quality ingredients for a dry food with little waste produced by Mr. dog. The avocado just gives him the greatest coat with no skin issues, itching, flaking, or oily coat as I've noticed two other labs have in the local area.
